It has started raining in Manchester. Of course it has.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 10 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool

Kerstin Casparij got a knock earlier on in a challenge by Missy Bo Kearns. It looks like she is still suffering the effects, and is having to go off.

An early enforced change for Man City, with Esme Morgan coming on.

  3. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool

City are having to stay patient against a very disciplined Liverpool side. One blocked shot from Bunny Shaw is the total of their chances so far.

A break in play as Kerstin Casparij requires treatment.

  4. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Bristol City

We're getting a full Madness set from the band in the stands and I for one don't mind it. Elisabeth Terland is close to a second as It must be love pipes onto the pitch.

If it stays like this - big if - there would be a five-point gap between third-from-bottom Leicester and both Bristol City and West Ham.

  5. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool

It's absolutely packed on the terraces at Joie Stadium. They are braving the bad weather in expectancy of another City win here.

A victory would keep Gareth Taylor's side within three points of leaders Chelsea.

  6. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Elisabeth Terland (31 mins)

But there is the breakthrough! All her own work, Elisabeth Terland wins the ball back 30-odd yards from goal, shrugs off a tackle and then from the edge of the area fires in low and true into the bottom corner.

Clinical stuff for her eighth of the WSL season!

  7. CLOSE!published at 31 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Bristol City

A half decent chance for Brighton as a full-on ska band crank up in the stands. Superb.

A ball from the left finds Julia Olme arriving but she's closed down and shoots wide.

  8. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool

It is blowing a gale in Manchester, and there is not a lot of shelter at Joie Stadium.

  11. ouch!

Postpublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United

Hannah Hampton makes a high claim from a United cross, and absolutely clatters team mate Ashley Lawrence in the process.

They're both made of tough stuff, however.

  12. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Bristol City

Hit it! Great play from City's Amalie Thestrup to cut in from the left and pick out Ella Powell arriving at the far post. The ball needed to be struck first time though and she lets it bounce and the chance has gone.

The visitors looking slick when they get on the ball.

  15. 'Title too far gone for United now'published at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

In most of Manchester United's games this season they have played well in patches but are not consistent enough. It has been that way all season.

They will be ten points behind Chelsea after this game, that gap in terms of being able to compete with Chelsea for the league title is too far gone.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United

    Adam Millington
    BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge

That goal will hurt the most for Manchester United.

They've had chances to find their way back but didn't find a way to make them count.

Chelsea have showed their game management skills in the second half. They've been up against it but managed to hold on to their lead and will now surely get the win over the line.

  20. Postpublished at 14:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

Manchester United are paying dearly for a slow start. They have played well since the 30th minute, but will leave Stamford Bridge 10 points behind the WSL leaders.

Surely they are out of the title race?
