  1. 'There will be more VAR conversations if score stays as it is'published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 3-4 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

If the score remains as it is, West Ham will be even more angry about Spurs' third goal which should have been offside. They also had a decent shout for a penalty on Asseyi earlier too.

I definitely think there will be some more conversations about VAR in the WSL after the game if this is the case.

Just the 29 shots on goal in this game so far. You love to see it.

  3. Postpublished at 81 mins

Into the last 10 minutes. Spurs are so deep that Bethany England is clearing her lines as an auxiliary full-back. West Ham piling players up the pitch...

  4. 'Very unlucky for Gorry that it hit the post'published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 3-4 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Very, very close for West Ham.

Gorry picked the ball up and drove towards goal. West Ham have been more direct as the half has gone on and got rewards.

Gorry shot at goal and was so unlucky for the ball to smack off the outside of the post.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 79 mins

    West Ham 3-4 Tottenham

Off the post! What a mad second half this has been as West Ham now rattle the woodwork. Katrina Gorry wins it in midfield, Spurs back off and she thumps a shot against the post from 20 yards. Sam Kerr, looking on, can barely watch.

  6. 'Another goal from the edge of the box for Spurs'published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 3-4 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

What a great game this is so far.

Jess Naz on the edge of the box, again another goal from the edge of the box for Spurs, shoots low and hard into the bottom right hand corner.

The pace on the shot beats West Ham keeper Mackenzie Arnold.

    Jessica Naz (75 mins)

The pendulum swings Spurs' way once more and it's another brilliant goal! Bethany England has an effort charged down but the ball spins to sub Jessica Naz just inside the area and her finish is low, hard and extremely accurate. Right into the corner and the visitors lead yet again!

  8. 4-4?!published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 3-3 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

You feel as though there are still more goals in this one.

I think maybe Tottenham with another goal, then West Ham again. Let's go for a 4-4.

  9. Postpublished at 74 mins

    West Ham 3-3 Tottenham

Amber Tysiak is a regular scorer from the back for Belgium but that's her first in the WSL. We could have more goals yet...

  10. 'Fantastic execution of the free kick'published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 3-3 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Really fantastic execution of the free kick from Kristie Mewis. She lofted the ball into the middle of the box, and the wind almost looked to hold it up in the air a bit longer.

A great leap from Tysiak and her header loops into the back of the net.

Another excellent game on this dramatic afternoon of WSL action. Grace Clinton now has another rasping shot blocked as Spurs wake up once more.

    What a comeback!

Kristie Mewis shows her pedigree again with an excellent free-kick into the area from deep, it's wind assisted as well and Amber Tysiak is able to meet it with a steepling header which floats into the far corner. Who saw this coming?!

  13. CLOSE!published at 67 mins

    West Ham 2-3 Tottenham

Yep, both Hammers goals have come from really poor defending. And Kristie Mewis nearly scores from a corner!

She takes an age to get the ball set as it's so windy, the assistant ref has to hold the corner flag in fact but when she does whip the ball in it almost goes in the far corner and needs a save to claw it out. Great knock.

  14. 'Tottenham need to be better mentally'published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 2-3 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

This is where Tottenham need to be better mentally for me if they are to become one of the best teams in this league.

They are a midtable team at the moment because of these small little mindset issues, they just switched off again there and West Ham have scored a second.

  16. 'Asseyi made sure it hit the back of the net'published at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 2-3 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

A change of play, a change of energy and perhaps that just made Tottenham switch off a bit.

A ball into the box from Ueki and it caused chaos in there. The defender gets a touch first and then Asseyi made sure it hit the back of the net.

  17. goal

There is the belief! West Ham are right back in it now.

Spurs are shoddy to let Riko Ueki get clear down the right and she puts in a dream of a ball between the back four and the Spurs goalkeeper. Eveliina Summanen gets a foot on it but can't cut it out and Viviane Asseyi is able to smash in from a few yards out.

  18. Postpublished at 60 mins

    West Ham 1-3 Tottenham

Into the final half hour in increasingly windy Dagenham. Do the hosts have the belief they can come back into this?

Spurs have attempted the last seven shots in this game, with West Ham's last effort coming in the 37th minute.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 58 mins

It's not quite job done but Spurs are making a couple of changes. On come Jessica Naz and Ramona Petzelberger for Martha Thomas and Amy Turner.

  20. 'Questions need to be asked at West ham'published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2024

    West Ham 1-3 Tottenham

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Rehanne Skinner must be thinking in the back of her mind, "What is going wrong here?"

They have made some additions, some good international players, and they are not getting the best out of them.

Questions need to be asked, I would be asking them.
