I think the ref has had a good game. He has controlled the game and communicated well and that’s what you want from the ref.

Bristol City v West Ham (14:00 GMT)

There is a huge match taking place this afternoon as bottom club Bristol City host the team just above them, West Ham, at 14:00 GMT.

The Robins have limped to five point from their 11 WSL matches this season, conceding 29 goals.

Their only victory this term came at West Ham as they held on to a 3-2 winin the reverse fixture.

The Hammers are hardly doing much better themselves, only ahead of City on goal difference, while their one league win came all the way back on matchday two at Brighton in October."

Both sides narrowly lost high-scoring matches in their last WSL outings. Bristol City were beaten 3-2 at Brighton while West Ham lost 4-3 to Tottenham.

So, expect goals from this must-win match.

Geyse - perhaps selfishly - takes on the shot herself rather than playing the ball to Lucia Garcia and she fires wide.

Tottenham have made impressive progress under Robert Vilahamn but have struggled against the perceived 'top four' sides in the WSL.

They beat Arsenal in their final game before the winter break for their first points after those sides this year.

Vilahamn sees today's game against Manchester City as another opportunity to assess their progress.

“We knew that we could go and beat Arsenal, so we know we can beat Manchester City as well,” Vilahamn said.

“The result on Sunday is important but what is more important is how we can compete against them, our style and how we can take steps forward in our defending because in the long-term, we want to dictate these games.

“Win or lose, I want to see bravery in how we play against them and that we have competed. Of course, we want to win but the main thing is how we improve our way of playing against the top teams.

"Next year, we want to be one of those top teams and go for one of the Champions League spots. It’s a good milestone to see where we are now and whether the new players that have come in can compete against them.”

She guessed right Earps but the power takes it into the far corner. I didn’t doubt Daly that’s why she's in this side. I did think she was going to score. It's definitely game on now. Villa have been knocking on the door and putting pressure on Man Utd.

We did say before the game that the goalkeepers would be important in this game, Courtney Brosnan for Everton and Lize Kop for Leicester.

Both sides have had chances but we have seen some big saves from each keeper, some missed chances too, but the keepers have been absolutely brilliant.

Cool as you like from Rachel Daly, who thrashes past Mary Earps.

Earps goes the right way, but she couldn't have done much to stop her finish there.

That was much better from Villa. I thought Hanson was going to hit that first time but she had to take a touch and that allowed Riviere to get across. But it's so much better from Villa, they are on the front foot.
