We're just past the 20 minute mark, and Aston Villa goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar gets some treatment while the teams go towards the bench to talk to their respective managers.

We've seen that happen before.

It's going to be feisty.

There is a lot on the line, they played in midweek and Leicester by far had the upper hand, a 5-1 demolition.

Everton boss Brian Sorensen rotated in that game, so I'm not sure how much we can read into it.

Today though it is all about the WSL and there is a lot on the line.

Toone, making her 150th United appearance, sends it over the crossbar.

The work rate for United off the ball is very good so far.

You can see the frustration from Rachel Daly up top for Villa.

She is leading that press, starting to put pressure on the United back line, Alisha Lehmann follows her, but no one in the midfield is backing it up.

The lack of team press means it is far too easy at the moment for United to play out from the back.

Another good chance for Manchester United.

Lucia Garcia wins the ball back on the left-hand side and finds Hannah Blundell on the edge of the area, but her curling effort is caught by Daphne van Domselaar.

You have to say that United goal has come against the run of play, Villa have ahd the better of this opening part of the game.

The ball is picked up on the left, the cross is swung in, and it is such a deft header from Nikita Parris. Daphne van Domselaar dives as far as she can but can't keep it from nestling into the bottom corner.

You can see Villa are putting that high press on United when they are playing the ball around their back line.

Really good organisation at the start of this game from the away side.

United are trying to find a way through but they haven't been able to do so yet, with Noelle Maritz continually getting the better of Geyse.
