The problem with Howe is he is afraid to change things. Constantly plays Burn against pacey players where Timo is far better then Burn. Yes he had a great season last season but the defence is a shambles this season and it's time to change things. Can see Howe gone if things carry on.

Lovely finish and definitely game over for Crystal Palace.

A delightful one-two between Danny Welbeck and João Pedro ends with the latter thumping home his 19th goal of the season.

    Newcastle 4-4 Luton

Luton do enough to clear the free-kick but Bruno Guimaraes opens it up on the left with some magical footwork.

He then fizzes it across goal and Jacob Murphy is there at the back post but unable to make contact. Inches!

I think my fellow Palace fans have forgotten how long we went without winning a game when Wilf wasn't playing! If Eze and Olise aren't fit to play what are they expecting Roy to do? Our squad isn't that good! It's got zero depth and it's aging around the edges so what do you want? We'll be safe again this season and whatever the board decides to spend the money on isn't anything to do with Roy.

Regardless of todays result, it's felt like one step forward, two steps back. Eddie's stubbornness/naivety will cost us big time soon. Big fan of the guy but feels like today it's been Steve Bruce under a Howe mask on the sidelines.

Fabian Schar skips through the middle far too easily and slips it left to Harvey Barnes.

You really don't want to lose Luton from the Premier League. They are really exciting and have a brilliant attitude towards their games.

They score a lot of goals as well.

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Final Score

Incredible. Luton have been absolutely fantastic but they have given away that lead after going up 4-2. Harvey Barnes has been out for a while with a foot injury but has just slotted it in to make it 4-4. I think Luton have shown real character after going behind twice early on, but I don't know if it is going to go the other way now.

  19. CLOSE!published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Newcastle 4-4 Luton

Teden Mengi pulls off a superb block to stop Harvey Barnes making it 5-4 to Newcastle.

It's great work down the right and Callum Wilson just missed it before Barnes' powerful strike bounced off Mengi and out for a corner.
