Now Luton's turn to go on the attack. Carlton Morris slips it through to Elijah Adebayo and Martin Dúbravka has to be alert at the near post.
Jacob Murphy then concedes a free-kick outside the box.

Mark in Manchester can't be much of a Palace fan if he thinks we're entitled. Look at the squad we have and yet we can't defend and rely on two players for all our creativity. We'd all like Roy to retire from us on a high at the end of the season but his performance this season has been woeful. With this squad and 11 seasons in the Prem is not unreasonable to require more.

You could just feel that coming. The crowd have not been dampened at all.
Even at 4-2 and 4-3 down they have not stopped.
What a difference Harvey Barnes has made.
4-4. Where's the rest of these goals?
Jean-Philippe Mateta (72 mins)
A glimmer of hope for Crystal Palace.
The visitors have been more composed in this half and have a goal back as Jean-Philippe Mateta heads in at the near post.
They've just under 20 minutes to find two more goals.
Harvey Barnes (73 mins)
Would you believe it?
Newcastle are level and it's Harvey Barnes, on his return from injury - his first game since September.
He reacts to a loose ball on the edge of the box, takes a touch then drills it perfectly into the bottom left corner.
Wow.
Newcastle 3-4 Luton
Fabian Schar's shot is deflected behind for a corner. Luton Town are under real pressure now!

Sheff Utd. Are you watching? Luton backed the manager, allowed him time to adjust to the most competitive league in the world, didn't panic, understood they'd overachieved just to be in the PL and now the club is reaping what it sewed. Sheff Utd by contrast panicked...relegation awaits.

Newcastle aren't done yet, Ken!
They take a quick free-kick but it's too quick and nobody is ready. The referee pulls it back for Kieran Trippier to curl it into the box.

Only Newcastle could make Luton look like prime Barcelona. A shocking performance by my lot. Embarrassing actually.

David Datro Fofana (71 mins)
A home debut goal for David Datro Fofana!
Burnley hit Fulham with a quick counter that ends with on-loan Chelsea forward heading home a great cross.
Suddenly there is hope for the Clarets!

The only thing that surprises you is that if it stays like this. The changes that been made, immediately Barnes gets on the ball and gets it higher up.
The crowd are behind them.
Newcastle 3-4 Luton
Change for Luton as Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu is on for Jordan Clark.
Kieran Trippier (67 mins)
A cross comes in from the left and Kieran Trippier beats Carlton Morris to it, thumping it first time into the far corner.
What a game we've got on our hands!
Newcastle 2-4 Luton
A bit of chaos.
Callum Wilson has two shots in the box - both blocked - but Luton still can't clear their lines.
There's a scramble, another shot blocked and appeals for handball.
Brighton 3-0 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are enjoying their best spell of the match as Matheus França lofts the ball into the box, he finds Jefferson Lerma but he cannot get a shot off.
Newcastle 2-4 Luton
It's fair to say Luton Town fans are enjoying themselves immensely in Newcastle.

Dan Burn has been done - targeted all game by Luton and most other teams. But Eddie can't see it! Clearly his favourite and won't drop him even though we have Timo and Lewis Hall. Our midfield is unable to control a game.
Andrew, Newcastle
Burnley 0-2 Fulham
A rare chance for Burnley as Josh Brownhill has space just outside the box, but he bends his shot over.
