Everton as whole since they have gone one behind have been much better.

They have a clear identity and way of playing. It is not pretty.

It is dry, it is crusty and Sean Dyche wants to make it a bit of a battle. The pitch is as crusty as a toddler's nostril!

Another offiside run, this time from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was slid in behind.

Micky van de Ven comes across to make an excellent sliding challenge and is annoyed the flag took so long to go up.

Dan: The muted celebration thing is boring and players just do it because it's fashionable. If they had "respect" for that particular club they wouldn't have left it in the first place.

Anon: Fully agree with those saying players should be able to celebrate against former teams. It's acknowledgement you've done your job well, not a personal attack against your old fans. Well, unless you do an Adebayor!

Dan: I agree with Flemming. Players just do it because it's fashionable. If they had "respect" for that particular club they wouldn't have left it in the first place.

Everton starting to ask more questions and it's lifting the crowd as well.

Missed chances has been the story the whole season though, they desperately need to put that right.

If Spurs win and then Villa win tonight we'll have four teams essentially in joint second place on 46 points before tomorrow's games. City will probably still win the league but it's great to see more genuine challengers up there.

Dwight McNeil hits it first time and it's heading towards the bottom corner before team-mate Jack Harrison gets in the way!

The whole 'don't celebrate a goal against your former team'-thing is so silly and cringe.

It's exhausting being an Everton fan season after season of misery and finger pointing elsewhere, we are in this mess because of us and no one else!

What would you do if you scored against your old club?

Thumbs up for a Richarlison, saying sorry.

Thumbs down for going full Adebayor, running the length of the pitch to celebrate.

    Izzy Christiansen

It almost seems like they need another [points deduction] to restart their form.

All joking aside, when they played Luton last weekend I kind of thought whoever won it would kick on and get confidence.

This is a massive game and to go 1-0 down early on isn't great at all.

It is that man Richarlison. Wouldn't you just know it coming back to Goodison Park.

he becomes the first former Everton player to score against them both home and away.

he has the easiest task from seven yards out and finds the goal. Great start for Tottenham.
