  1. ‘Fulham getting back into swing of things’published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

Man Utd v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    Statman Dave
Football analyst on BBC Radio 5 Live

What I like about him [Rodrigo Muniz] and his recent goal-scoring form is that they're simple goals in a sense, he’s arriving at the right time to score the goal.

Fulham struggled at the start of the season without [Aleksandar] Mitrovic. They played a false nine at times, they’ve played a number of different forwards in there but now I think they are getting back into the swing of things.

  2. Fulham targeting rare Old Trafford winpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

Man Utd v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

Cristiano Ronaldo was playing for Manchester United when they last lost to Fulham at Old Trafford.

And he was still a teenager.

It's been 21 years since the Cottagers managed to leave the red part of Manchester with all three points, although they did lead in both of their visits last season - in the Premier League and FA Cup - before ultimately coming away with nothing.

"I feel like they’re a big team that we’ve played our best football against in the last couple of seasons under Marco," said Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney.

"Performance-wise, we’ve been very good, but we need to start picking points up against Manchester United if we play like that."

It is a huge show of faith in Omari Forson by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

The decision is even more bold when you consider the 19-year-old Londoner, who had spells at West Ham and Tottenham as a youngster, is still to commit to a new contract, with his current one due to expire in June.

Forson became the 249th member of United's academy to make the first team in January. Twenty-year-old Toby Collyer would make it 250 if he comes on as substitute.

As a Man Utd fan I think we should ignore (NOT in a bad way) all this hype around Sir Jim, and not lose focus. All the talking needs to be done on the pitch and needs to carry on with our mini winning run. Sir Jim's appointment is a long term plan, the future is NOW. European place finish and FA Cup run.

    Brighton v Everton (15:00 GMT)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi on more injuries at The Amex after Kaoru Mitoma joined the likes of Joao Pedro, Solly March and James Milner in the treatment room:

"We have lost Kaoru Mitoma for this game - I don't know how much time he needs to come back but we are ready to compete our best.

"I hope we can be better [than last season, when Brighton lost 5-1 to Everton] but losing in that way can happen. This season is different, every game is different and we are positive we can play well and try to win.

"I hope the medical staff can help us recover the injured players quickly but we are trying to show our best, to work in the best way, we are playing without a lot of players but it is the first time Brighton are competing in three or four competitions.

"It is good, it is tough but if we have a complete squad we can compete in all competitions."

While Sir Jim Ratcliffe declined to comment when asked about the men’s team manager, Erik ten Hag begins his programme notes with a warm welcome to Manchester United’s new co-owner, and expresses excitement at what they can “achieve together”.

Off the back of a week of such heavy PR and talk of knocking rivals off their perches, the fixture computer has been very kind to Manchester United. Fulham have just two league victories here at Old Trafford in their club's entire history.

He [Oliver Glasner] does have distinctive ides about how they need to play and it's not going to be Roy Hodgson's way. It's going to be wholesale changes.

They've got some young players in there who can really take this on and loosen the shackles maybe.

  10. Can Ferguson start firing?published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Brighton v Everton (15.00 GMT)

In the first half of the season, Evan Ferguson was one of the standout stars. But the Brighton striker has lost a bit of their sparkle.

Ferguson has gone 15 Brighton appearances without a goal in all competitions since he scored in a 3-2 league win at Nottingham Forest on 25 November.

Man Utd v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva on making six changes to his side: "Two of the changes are enforced, Joao Palhinha is suspended and unfortunately Willian is not available for the match. The others, now you have much more competition and we analysis in the week. Calvin [Bassey] and Alex [Iwobi] were out at the Africa Cup of Nations for a long time but before that they were starting players for us.

"When you don't have Joao we have to adjust some players in the middle of the pitch. It's different when you have Joao as a six because what he can cover and give for us in that position of course we have to adjust and play Harry Wilson or others."

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag on Omari Forson's first Premier League start: "We have to replace Rasmus Hojlund and then you look at what is the best balance for this game, then the progression and development of the players and what they are showing during training sessions.

"He [Forson] came twice lately in games against Newport and Wolves. Against Wolves he had a very good moment where he was decisive in making Kobbie Mainoo's goal so he deserve to play and of course now he has to show it. But he proved it when he came on as a sub and in training."

Omari Forson came on a substitute in Manchester United's recent 4-3 victory at Wolves, passing to Kobbie Mainoo for his dramatic winner

Quite the vote of confidence for 19-year-old Omari Forson from Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Forson spent time at West Ham and Tottenham before moving to United as a 15-year-old, quickly breaking into their under-18s side and now given his full Premier League debut by Ten Hag.

Forson is predominantly a creative midfielder, often playing behind a striker or in a wider position and looking to drift inside.

So that will be fascinating to see how lines up alongside Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho this afternoon.

Another interesting element is Forson is out of contract at the end of the season but has so far resisted the club's attempts to tie him down.

Manchester United want to make the next step and part of that is getting Dan Ashworth - his reputation is high in the game.

I don’t know what this says about Newcastle it is not a good look, but from Man Utd's perspective it's getting this over the line as soon as possible.

The gardening leave is odd, but I don’t mind a fee for a sporting director if he's going to be valuable and move the club to the next level.

  17. Man Utd won't buy players unless I agree - Ten Hagpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Man Utd v Fulham (15:00GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

As Manchester United wait to be given the green light to appoint Dan Ashworth as their new technical director, manager Erik ten Hag has been answering a range of questions connected to the media comments Sir Jim Ratcliffe made to the BBC's Dan Roan and others on Wednesday.

One was specifically related to United's recruitment plans and Ten Hag's previous comments from his time at Ajax relating to the central part any manager must play in deciding on transfer targets.

From the conversations he has already had with Ratcliffe and Ineos head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford, Ten Hag does not envisage a problem.

"It is about control," said Ten Hag. "And I have already had the talks with them about it. They will not bring in players who the manager doesn’t want, because that will not work.

"We will work there together, with suggestions, bringing players in and discussing. Then it is about picking the right players, it is about cooperation and togetherness.

"That is the way they want to work."

Here's something to restore your faith in football and humanity.

A 92-year-old Nottingham Forest fan has received a surprise phone call from her favourite player, Stuart Pearce.

The club arranged the call for lifelong supporter Vera Hill, who gave up her season ticket after she was diagnosed with macular degeneration in 2012.

Ms Hill, from Nottingham, only has her peripheral vision remaining.

She said she was "overwhelmed" after speaking to former Forest and England defender Pearce.

Her daughter Debbie said: "She used to have a framed picture of him on her bedside cabinet. He is her all-time favourite player."
