    BBC Scotland at Stark's Park

    Amy Canavan
    BBC Scotland at Meadowbank

Alieu Faye was released by League 2 side Bonnyrigg Rose just days ago.

This morning, he signed for Edinburgh City. Earlier this afternoon, after a bizarre delayed kick-off, he was announced captain on his debut. Normally a striker, he’s propped up in defensive midfield.

He’s just scored a header for the bottom side, who are now 2-0 up against the unbeaten league leaders.

    What a mad day.
