Funny old day at Meadowbank, I tell you, after the delayed kick-off.
No smiles on City manager Michael McIndoe’s face, though. He’s already had to make two substitutions in the opening 20 minutes.
He could only name five outfield players. Times are tough in this neck of the woods.
It's bottom of the table fare at Gayfield, with no goals between struggling Arbroath and Ayr.
Morton lead at the break after Jack McMillan deflected a header form Robbie Crawford (right) into his own net
Quote MessageA word too for Jamie Sneddon, who’s made a couple of brilliant saves to deny Morton in that first half. Dougie Imrie will be delighted, though, heading into half-time with the lead.

BBC Scotland at Stark's Park
Two excellent goals in the first half here in Kirkcaldy.
Jack Hamilton's header was sublime to give the home side the lead, but the equaliser from 18-year-old Cameron Bruce was even better.
More of the same please in the second half!
Arbroath 0-0 Ayr United
Tyrone Smith
BBC Scotland at Gayfield
Almost the breakthrough for Arbroath, Leighton McIntosh's glancing header rebounding back off a post.
So close to what would have been an against-the-run-of-play opener.
Lee Connelly
Cameron Bruce
What a response!
Cameron Bruce curls a superb shot past the Rovers goalkeeper.
The 18-year-old left-back's first goal of the season has struggling Queen's Park level with the side aiming to go back to the top of the table.
Arbroath 0-0 Ayr United

BBC Scotland at Gayfield
Jim McIntyre must feel his team is cursed just now - Thomas O'Brien, who is only just back from injury, has also been forced off for Arbroath in this first half with a knock.
Arbroath 0-0 Ayr United
Zak Delaney only lasted 12 minutes after his transfer to Arbroath from Inverness Caley Thistle before having to go off injured
Raith Rovers 1-0 Queen's Park
Brian McLauchlin
BBC Scotland at Stark's Park
Both goalkeepers in Kirkcaldy have made terrific saves in the opening 30 minutes. Decent game here at Stark's Park.
Greenock Morton 1-0 Partick Thistle
Quote MessageMorton have turned up the intensity in Inverclyde! Robbie Crawford has been such a threat - especially in the last 10 minutes or so.

Raith Rovers 1-0 Queen's Park

BBC Scotland at Stark's Park
Apart from the opening few minutes, new head coach Callum Davidson will be relatively happy with the application from the Queen's Park players. It would have been so easy for the heads to drop after losing an early goal.
Rovers striker Jack Hamilton is proving to be a real handful for the visitors' defence. The former Livingston player looks very sharp and took his goal magnificently.
Arbroath 0-0 Ayr United
Tyrone Smith
BBC Scotland at Gayfield
Ayr are still very much on the front foot at Gayfield, with the home side really struggling to offer anything of note in an attacking sense.
Jack McMillan (own goal)
Matt Yates
The League 2 leaders appear to be heading for that 11th consecutive victory.
A dull game so far is lit up by a fine strike from Matt Yates. The forward's sixth goal of the season.
Alfie Bavidge (penalty)
Bobby Wales
On-loan Kilmarnock striker Bobby Wales gives Alloa the lead in League 1 down in Dumfries.
