    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Jacob Murphy was lively in the first half, should have scored, but he's now coming off with Tino Livramento coming on in his place.

  2. 'Fulham not laid a glove on Newcastle'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Paul Mortimer
Former Charlton player on BBC Radio London

Everything is in front of Newcastle at the moment. No Fulham players are willing to go in behind. Newcastle are comfortable. Fulham haven't been able to lay a glove on them. There just hasn't been the energy from Fulham and Newcastle are popping the ball around at will now.

  3. 'Fulham's crosses have to be perfect'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fulham never look like they are going to score when they put crosses into the box because Newcastle have Sven Botman and Fabian Schar there. The crosses have to be perfect.

  4. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Tom Cairney and Antonee Robinson link up nicely before Willian puts in a cross but not for the first time Dan Burn climbs to flick it clear at the far post. Totem.

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

With 20 minutes to go, 2-0 up, away from home, Newcastle need to dominate possession, keep the ball, quieten the crowd. Be professional.

Not overly proud of this one as a Toon fan. Winning ugly is one thing but we've been absolutely dire today! So much for rest and lack of training being our problem

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Newcastle are getting more and more openings as Fulham look stretched. Anthony Gordon can run at the backline again but Issa Diop does well this time to make a sliding tackle.

  9. 'Forcefield around the Newcastle box'published at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Paul Mortimer
Former Charlton player on BBC Radio London

For all Fulham’s territory and possession how many saves has Martin Dubravka actually had to make? It’s like there is a forcefield around that area. Newcastle are defending really well. They have not really been stretched. They have been strong.

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Newcastle haven't been to Wembley in the FA Cup since 2000. It's a long wait for such a big club. Anthony Gordon has the ball at his feet for the first time all half and he glides past Kenny Tete and pings it across goal. It's half shot half cross and nearly finds both the far corner and Kieran Trippier, but actually only finds the crowd.

  11. 'Can Fulham recover?'published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

To use a boxing phrase, it feels like Fulham are taking the punches. Can they recover? You can't knock their attitude, they are trying. When you look back at the goals, it's two corners, two set plays. Marco Silva won't be happy.

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Fulham are still seeing more of the ball as Newcastle seem happy enough to keep them at arm's length. Left-back Antonee Robinson snakes in a shot from range but he's never going to beat Martin Dubravka from there.

  13. 'Newcastle looking dangerous'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Paul Mortimer
Former Charlton player on BBC Radio London

Newcastle do a couple of things there that Fulham have not been able to do. They win the first header and they are ready for the second. It’s a decent save from Marek Rodak but the only criticism is he’s put it back into traffic. It’s good attacking play from Newcastle, they’ve started to look dangerous. I think Fulham need to get Raul Jimenez on.

  14. 'What if?'published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I wonder if Marco Silva is thinking 'what if? Should I have made the change earlier?' At 2-0, it feels like a tough ask.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Fulham react by sending on Tom Cairney for Andreas Pereira.

Newcastle poor but clinical with their finishing and Fulham can’t shoot. They need a proper forward because they’ve been light since Mitrovic left.

  18. 'Who is marking Sven Botman?'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison

What did I say about Sven Botman? He's not lost a header all night! From Rodak's point of view, it's a brilliant save but he can only parry it one yard in front of him. Dan Burn slams it in.

Who is marking Sven Botman? He's completely unmarked in the box.

    Dan Burn (61 mins)

    Against his old club!

Newcastle have been pegged back since the resumption but have their second goal from a set piece to take real control of this tie. Kieran Trippier's ball in is met by Sven Botman, unmarked, his header is down and hard and Marek Rodak does well to stop it, but the ball pops up and Dan Burn is free to smash into the net.

  20. 'Newcastle superb at the back'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-1 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I don't think Dan Burn, Sven Botman or Fabian Schar have lost a header back there, they've been superb.
