  1. 'I think it hits a hand'published at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-1 Newcastle

    Paul Mortimer
Former Charlton player on BBC Radio London

The Fulham players are complaining about a handball. When it drops in the area they are hoping it falls to a Fulham player but it falls to Longstaff and he finishes well. I think it hits a hand in the build-up though.

A Fulham boot tried to clear the ball and it definitely hit Bruno on the arm before Sean Longstaff pinged the ball into the net. It would have been chalked off a few years ago for sure.

  4. 'Newcastle always looked a threat on the break'published at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-1 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

100% that was the right decision, I've seen this movie before. Fulham played well for 15/20 minutes, but on the counter, I always thought Newcastle looked like a threat. I didn't think they would score at a set-piece, though.

Listen to the noise from the Newcastle fans, that was drilled into the bottom corner. The Fulham players are complaining about a hand, it did not look intentional. I'd be stunned if it gets overturned.

Newcastle have the lead! Fulham can't clear a corner, the ball pinballs around and Sean Longstaff pivots neatly to plant a left-footed shot into the corner!

Did the ball strike an arm in the build up though?

  8. 'Fulham are a different side with Willian'published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-0 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I honestly think Fulham with Willian are a different side. They have total confidence when he's on the pitch. Their worst performance this season, they lost 3-0 to Bournemouth and Willian was not available.

Harry Wilson is indeed fine to carry on, and he's been good so far. Will we get an opener before the interval?

  12. ouch!

Dan Burn catches Harry Wilson after Fulham snap into the press once again, Wilson lands in a heap and is holding his shoulder in pain. I think he's going to be OK though.

  13. 'An excellent block'published at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-0 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

A massive block from Sven Botman. It's really good centre forward play, but he knows it's got to go in one of the corners. It's an excellent block.

  14. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Newcastle

Ah he's unlucky! Rodrigo Muniz almost opens the scoring with a brilliant goal, twisting and turning to bring a cross from the left out of the sky and shoot in one moment. Sven Botman got a piece of it and the shot skims the post on its way wide of the target.

    That was very close indeed.

  15. 'Why has Isak not shot?'published at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-0 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Why has Isak not shot? When he got into the box, he went for the harder skill. The shot was to dink it over the goalkeeper. He's overcomplicated that.

He's been a willing runner and he's ran the channels really well.

I normally make it a rule to stop watching a game if someone calls it a 'tactical battle' but this has been better than that so far. And that is almost brilliant from Alexander Isak, gliding into the area, skinning Tim Ream and dancing around Marek Rodak but then running out of turf.

    He can move!

  17. 'A good tactical battle'published at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    Fulham 0-0 Newcastle

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

If Newcastle can get the final ball into Isak's feet, they can cause problems, but tactically, this has been a really good game.

Tete and Robinson are two tough players to get in behind, they are both unbelievably quick.

Newcastle are missing players in midfield of course - Sandro Tonali and Joelinton would make a big difference you'd imagine.

Where’s the atmosphere in the stadium? You can hear the players shouting, it’s like a lockdown game.

    Scott, Edinburgh

Again our midfield making no impact and being completely outplayed. Fulham in full control. Banking on and Isak or Gordon goal against run of play.

Fulham's growing control has led to an overall drop in tempo, it was very end to end at the start of this half.
