Hearts look like they're switching to a 4-2-3-1 from the start after the tweak from a back five helped mount a comeback against Dundee.

Craig Halkett, Aidan Denholm and Kenneth Vargas drop to the bench. Jorge Grant, Yutaro Oda and James Forrest are rewarded for their impact from the bench on Tuesday.

Aberdeen make just one enforced change from Wednesday's draw with St Johnstone.

Slobodan Rubezic is out with a knee injury, so Richard Jensen starts in central defence.

  5. YELLOW CARD Lundstram (Rangers)published at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

John Ludstram is next in the book, the Rangers midfielder having fouled Alex Gogic.

  10. St Mirren must take any chancespublished at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Scotland at SMISA Stadium

You sense a degree of control here with Rangers dominating the ball, but it's still open, leaving the door open for a counter from St Mirren.

They're still in this, but if they get a chance, they really have to take it given Rangers' defensive record.

It's so difficult for both sides in these conditions. A misjudgement seems a likely source as this wind is causing all sorts of issues.

  11. Scott debut in double changepublished at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

St Mirren do make a double change and it's a like for like change.

Mikael Mandron and new signing and fellow striker James Scott, making his debut on loan from Exeter, are on in place of Lewis Jamieson and Jonah Ayunga.

  12. Robinson needing changespublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    David van Zanten
Former St Mirren defender on BBC Sportsound

St Mirren are still in it, but it just seems they have gone a bit flat.

So Stephen Robinson must be thinking of bringing on some fresh legs because Rangers are beginning to control the game.

  13. Jack replaces Raskinpublished at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Another change by Rangers manager Philippe Clement.

Fit-again Ryan Jack comes into midfield in place of Nicolas Raskin, who has himself had his injury problems.

The Belgian is another who has been a bit anonymous this afternoon.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

So close to Cyriel Dessers' second goal of the game.

The Rangers striker pulls a high ball down just inside the penalty box, but his shot on the turn takes a nick off a defender's heel and off the outside of a post.

  15. Postpublished at 13:41 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Rangers are knocking on the door and Dujon Sterling has a great chance at the back post.

The right-back playing on the left wing is found by a cross from James Tavernier but heads wastefully over.

  16. Postpublished at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Tom Lawrence follows up his booking by firing just wide from 18 yards.

The Rangers midfielder has a clear sight at goal but fails to test the home goalkeeper.

  17. YELLOW CARD Lawrence (Rangers)published at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

The first booking of the game - and it goes to Tom Lawrence, four minutes into the midfielder's introduction to the Rangers side.

A high boot catches defender James Bolton.

  18. Postpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Rangers are first to threaten after the break.

However, captain James Tavernier fires wastefully over from long range.

  19. KICK-OFF SECOND HALFpublished at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Rangers get the second half under way - and it is a side showing those two changes.

Winger Ross McCausland and midfielder Tom Lawrence are on for Scott Wright and Todd Cantwell, who were both pretty anonymous in that first 45 minutes.

  20. Double change by Rangerspublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January

    HT: St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Here come the teams again and Rangers manager Philippe Clement is so unhappy that he's made two changes.

More on that in a moment...
