Matt Beard has created a good side at Liverpool this season, they have good quality and he has made them very hard to beat. The gap between the top teams and the rest in the WSL is not easy to close at all.
We've seen with Manchester United that after doing so well last season and being title challengers, they have dipped back down this year. Liverpool are the next one in line looking to break into the top three and they have been good so far this season, but it is so tough to go to that next level.

Here come the players and they'll be glad to see that the rain has stopped at Broadfield Stadium.
The pitch will be nice and slick to say the least, though, after a fairly solid downpour this morning.

Brighton's club philosophy is to play attacking, free-flowing, expansive football, on the men's and women's side of the club.
At the moment in the WSL the side are missing that final piece, that bit of quality, the final pass or finish, and it football those moments make all the difference. Playing so expansively can mean you get exposed more on the transition and they have struggled with that this season.
At the moment the side are reliant on using academy players, quite a few are on the bench today, and while it is tough for them to play at this level, getting the exposure of the first team training sessions and football is vital experience for those young players moving forwards.
Brighton v Liverpool (12:00 GMT)
This is your five-minute warning.
The first game of the afternoon kicks off at noon and then it is non-stop WSL until 17:00 GMT, so this is your chance to get a brew before you settle in to enjoy all the action!
Tottenham v Aston Villa (14:00 GMT)
Aston Villa boss Carla Ward believes that a top-half finish would mean her side have had a better season than last year.
The Villans were fifth in the WSL in 2022-23 but endured a terrible start to this campaign.
They play Tottenham today and victory would put them only three points off their opponents in sixth.
"If we finish sixth this season, I’d argue that it’s a better season than last,” Ward said.
“Why? I don’t believe anyone has finished fifth and then finished in that top six again the following season.
“It would be a big achievement, particularly with the way that we started the season but I have the belief and confidence to turn things around. I have confidence to get the group going and believing.
“Tottenham and Liverpool have had good seasons but could we finish as strong and knock on the door? We will do everything we can to do that.”
Everton v West Ham (13:00 GMT)
Everton go into their game against West Ham still without a home win this campaign.
Toffees boss Brian Sorensen is hopeful that run will end this weekend.
“It’d be really nice if we can do it,” Everton boss Brian Sorensen said.
“Against Leicester, we created the chances to do it but it wasn’t to be. We won’t give up, we will do absolutely everything to get our first home win of the season.
“We also have to acknowledge that we are very light at the minute with our team, so it’s going to be tough.
“They brought in really good quality in the summer upfront and now, it looks like they have balanced the midfield and the defence out, so it’s a tough challenge that we are facing.”
Leicester v Bristol City (15:00 GMT)
Bristol City manager Lauren Smith hopes her side have learnt from their opening-day defeat by Leicester.
“We’ve been looking forward to the second half of the season to re-play the teams that we lost out to in almost naive ways,” Smith said.
“I think we were so fresh-faced coming into Leicester at home in the first game of the season. Hopefully, we have learnt some lessons and are harder for them to play against.
"The same goes for Brighton after the break, we were so close there and it went down to the dying minutes. That game in particular still hurts us because we were so close to a point and it changes so many things around us.
“Ultimately, the next two games that we play, we want to get our teeth stuck into them and we want to have a real go. Things also change in and around you. The next few games and weekends are going to be key to what the end starts looking like.”
Brighton v Liverpool (12:00 GMT)
Following the shock sacking of Brighton manager Melissa Phillips earlier this month, interim boss Mikey Harris has endured a baptism of fire at the Seagulls helm.
His first WSL game was a tough visit to Manchester United, ending in a 2-0 loss, before they failed to score from four penalties in their League Cup quarter-final shootout loss to Aston Villa.
A 4-1 win at Wolves in the FA Cup last weekend gave Harris his first win, although Brighton were being held by the third division side in the 88th minute before Emma Kullberg's late eight-minute hat-trick.
Harris will finally make his home WSL debut this weekend against Liverpool with Brighton needing a win to pull clear of the drop zone, and he is focused on this game rather than talk about him getting the job full time.
"I'm just here to support the players and staff," he said. "I think it's far too early to talk about that. We have spoken about this as a club and this is an interim position.
"I'm here to do it as long as I am, and while I'm here I'll give it absolutely everything."
Brighton v Liverpool (12:00 GMT)
Liverpool manager Matt Beard has spoken of the importance of Sophie Roman Haug scoring her first goal of 2024.
The Norway international was on target in the Reds' FA Cup win over London City Lionesses.
In his column for the club, Beard said: "Sophie Roman Haug got our first goal, which was her first one this calendar year and I think that was important for her.
"The assist was fantastic as well and it just shows what Sophie brings to this team because whenever that ball comes into the box and she meets it with her head, then nine times out of 10 she is going to be scoring goals, so I was really pleased for her."
On this afternoon's game he added: "Brighton play good football and there are no easy games in the WSL, as I say all the time.
"We’ve just got to make sure we are on our game because whenever we are we give ourselves a great chance of picking points up."
Brighton v Liverpool (12:00 GMT)
All six teams in the bottom half are in action today and four of them will be hoping that Leicester can do them a favour and beat Bristol City to maintain the gap to the relegation place.
A win for the Robins, though, and it all gets very interesting again...
After two heavyweight tussles over the past couple of days, it looks like we're in for a brilliant three-horse title race.
Another defeat for Manchester United means they're out of it, though, and Liverpool and Tottenham have the chance to close the gap to Marc Skinner's side with wins today...
Brighton v Liverpool (12:00 GMT)
There's just one change for Brighton since they were beaten 2-0 in their last Women's Super League game.
It comes in the Seagulls' attacking line as Lee Geum-min, who is benched, is replaced by Tatiana Pinto.
Brighton XI: Baggaley; Kullberg, Bergsvand, Thorisdottir, Pattinson; Robinson, Zigiotti, Losada, Sarri; Pinto, Terland.
Subs: Bremer, Lee, Haley, Mengwen, Lock, Johnson, Startrup, McEwen, Dent.
Liverpool make two changes to the side who drew 1-1 with Tottenham in their last league game.
Missy Bo Kearns and Shanice van de Sanden both drop to the bench, with Melissa Lawley and Marie Hobinger taking their places.
Lawley and Hobinger started last weekend's FA Cup victory over London City Lionesses.
Liverpool XI: Laws; Bonner, Fahey, Fisk; Koivisto, Hobinger, Nagano, Holland, Matthews; Roman Haug, Lawley.
Subs: Micah, Clark, Daniels, Kearns, Lundgaard, Kiernan, Van de Sanden, Enderby.
It is a rare Women's Super League weekend where we've already had two games before we reach Sunday.
Friday saw Manchester City beat leaders Chelsea to go level on points at the top.
On Saturday Arsenal overcame Manchester United to consolidate their place in the top three and move within three points of the top.
We've got a title race, folks.
Here's what we've got to look forward to today then...
Basically, from midday you have got five straight hours of WSL to enjoy!
Good morning!
It's another big Sunday of WSL, albeit with a slight twist...
The 'big four' have already played this weekend so there is a chance for others to step up and take the limelight.
It is a particularly big day for bottom side Bristol City, who need a win to put the pressure back on the sides above them in their survival bid.
