    Brighton 0-1 Liverpool

    Courtney Sweetman-Kirk
Current Sheffield United and former Liverpool forward on Sky Sports

It's a massive mistake, no doubt about it. Brighton play themselves into trouble, and Liverpool pick them off so easily.

Holland still has plenty to do, she kept calm and composed. First touch with her left and then slots it home into the bottom corner past Sophie Baggaley.

Brighton will be bitterly disappointed with that.

    It's a gift for Liverpool!

A shocker from Sophie Baggaley as she passes the ball straight to Ceri Holland on the edge of the box.

The Liverpool midfielder takes a good first touch before burying the ball in the bottom corner.

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Brighton are able to defend a couple of Liverpool corners far better than they did in the first half.

It helps that Sophie Roman Haug is being held in more of a bear hug than marked.

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

Has this gone in? It doesn't matter anyway, the flag goes up for offside.

West Ham work a cross in from the right and it is flicked on at the near post. Viviane Asseyi reaches it at the back post and tries to bundle home, with an Everton defender attempting to hook clear.

Asseyi wheels off in celebration but the officials stop them in their tracks.

The first chance of the game.

West Ham ping a ball into the area and it is laid off for Katrina Gorry to run onto.

The Australia international tries a first-time effort but it skims just wide of the post.

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Concern for Liverpool as Emma Koivisto goes down holding her knee after catching her foot in the turf.

The wing-back is up now, though, so hopefully she will be OK.

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Quick start from Liverpool and after winning the ball back just outside the Brighton box, Marie-Therese Hobinger has a go from 20 yards.

The shot is deflected to wrong-foot Sophie Baggaley but fortunately for the goalkeeper, that also took all the pace off it so she has time to get across to make the save.

All of Liverpool's best opportunities have come from set pieces, which isn't surprising as Matt Beard spoke about that before the game.

It will be a concern for Brighton that Sophie Roman-Haug has gotten three headers at goal, the game could hinge on these moments, so it will be something they will want to address.

The last chance, where she got across the near post and flicked the header across goal, she will be disappointed that she didn't score with that. She got across the defender on the run and got enough power on the attempt.

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

A decent start from the hosts, passing the ball around with confidence, but it doesn't come to anything.

West Ham seemed pretty happy for Everton to pass the ball around and then the press came in action when they got closer to goal.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    Brighton 0-0 Liverpool

Brighton get things under way in the second half at Broadfield Stadium.

One change - and it's the referee! Amy Fearn is injured so Emily Heaslip replaces her in the middle.

Everton v West Ham (13:00 GMT)

    • Everton have won their last two WSL games against West Ham United, as many victories as they managed across their first seven meetings with the Hammers in the competition (W2 D2 L3).
    • West Ham United won their first ever away game against Everton in the WSL in October 2018 - 2-1 at the Merseyrail Community Stadium - but have since gone three without a win on their travels to the Toffees (D1 L2).
    • Everton have lost each of their last four WSL games, the longest current losing run in the competition. The Toffees have also failed to score in each of their last two matches.
    • West Ham United have won each of their last two WSL games via a 2-1 scoreline, not since December 2018 have the Hammers won three consecutive matches in the competition.
    • Everton have now failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 11 home WSL games; the joint-longest such current streak in the competition alongside Bristol City.

West Ham only had five points when the Women's Super League stopped for Christmas but successive wins has made the picture look a lot better for Rehanne Skinner's side.

“At the end of the day, it’s very close in the bottom half of the table and I think we just want to focus on doing what we’ve been doing for the last couple of games which is the way that we approach it and the way that we want to play,” Skinner said.

“It’s just about making sure we are consistent with that. I’ve said all season that once we start getting consistency, we will get the benefit in performances and results.

“It’s just trusting the process. Sometimes, that’s quite hard outwardly for people to do but in here, we all know what we are doing and the direction of travel.

“This weekend is another game the same. We want to get as many points out of the remaining games this season as we possibly can starting with this one because it’s the next one.”
