  1. 'O'Neil should be in conversation for manager of season'published at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Newcastle 0-0 Wolves

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on Football Focus

I have been so impressed by Wolves. I was at the Spurs game and I really enjoyed watching them play.

I think if he can keep it up with them, I think Gary O'Neil should really be in the conversation for manager of the season. The goals they have scored this season [have been great].

Lopetegui walked out at the start of the season because he felt the job wasn't right for him. Gary O'Neil has gone in there and done an even better job so that just shows what he is about as a manager.

  6. 'Chelsea are still learning but Palmer is a leader'published at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Brentford v Chelsea (15:00 GMT)

    Anita Asante
Former England defender on Football Focus

Pochettino has shown such confidence in Cole Palmer and he has come in and had such an impact. I think Poch looks to him to lead the team and make things happen. I think he has a long future ahead of him at Chelsea.

They are a young team and they are really learning how to take the game by the scruff of the neck and that will come with experience. It is really exciting to see how they do in this transition period.

  7. 'We must match Tottenham's intensity'published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

Tottenham v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner speaking to BBC Final Score: "We are still in the time of getting known but the players are doing well and having Eze back is good.

Tottenham are one of those teams that play with high intensity so we have to match them."

  8. 'Chelsea are onto something'published at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Brentford v Chelsea (15:00 GMT)

    Theo Walcott
Former Arsenal and Southampton forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Brentford at this moment in time they need to start picking up points, I do feel like Chelsea are onto something but again it’s a bit patchy - in time there will be improvements.

Mauricio Pochettino looked like a rabbit in the headlights [after the Carabao Cup final loss] which is sad to see, I love what Pochettino does to football clubs - it is about picking himself up.

  9. 'It's stagnant under Moyes'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

When you compare David Moyes to Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, I feel like it's a little bit stagnant at West Ham.

The playing style is what fans are getting behind these days.

Re: Glenn Murray at 14:38. What West Ham fans want is attractive football played on the front foot. Moyes finally did that on Monday and we won. It’s not a straight choice between Pellegrini and Moyes - there are hundreds of better coaching options than both.

  11. Werner must seize chancepublished at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Tottenham v Palace (15:00 GMT)

    Chris Wise
Final Score commentator at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Richarlison’s injury has opened the door for Timo Werner to come back into Tottenham’s team. But you sense he has to seize his chance.

Nobody can question Werner’s desire. He’s worked really hard since joining Spurs on loan, and he’s well suited to Ange Postecoglou’s team. But it’s also fair to say that the end product from the German has been lacking on occasions.

Manager of the year right now has to be Mikel Arteta. The way he has dealt with the disappointment of last season, the increasing threat from Manchester City and Liverpool, alongside lots of injuries to key players is exceptional. All whilst taking the youngest team in the league to new levels of control and improvement. Unai Emery has to be second for turning Aston Villa into a formidable team both home and away.

  15. 'I'm loving it under Pochettino'published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Brentford v Chelsea (15:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer speaking to BBC Football Focus about his early football memories: "There was a park like 10 seconds from my house. I would just go there and play every day. My dad used to take me everywhere and to all the matches. He just loved football.

"My friends and my cousin used to tell me if I was going out too much and tell me to chill. I think in myself I am good at that anyway too."

On adapting to Chelsea: "It's alright. I am getting used to it. It is quiet where I am.

"It's just enjoyable when you go out and you see your friends and family there. You know that you are going to make them happy if you do something good. It's a good feeling.

"I am loving it, to be fair. Every day he is talking to you. Not just about football but also life and trying to make you a better player. He has given me freedom to play my stuff. I feel like I can express myself more."

  16. 'Everton are too good to go down'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on Final Score

I think Everton will be fine. I think they will be absolutely fine. I think their squad is too good to go down.

Unfortunately for them, they are quite comfortable in this sort of relegation battle situation now.

Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I have known the manager [Nuno Espirito] for a long time now, since I was 16.

"Even when I was at Wolves I loved every second of learning from him, it might seem strange as I didn't get the game-time.

"When I found out the news that he was coming here I was super excited to learn from him again.

"I feel I am a different player since when I was 16-years-old, I have loved working for him he is a top manager who is full of ideas and confidence."

I think Newcastle bounced back really well, especially after the loss to Arsenal and to get those attacking players back [is good].

Sandro Tonali had such an impact at the start of the season and then with that ban I think it significantly impacted the team. Getting those players back can spur them on.
