  1. 'A third goal for City would ease the tension'published at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

I'd say another goal for City eases the tension for them as the game goes on.

If Brighton get a chance then they could end up under pressure. The longer it stays at 2-0 then if Brighton get a goal back it is 2-1 into the final ten minutes and they they have the momentum behind them to push on for a point.

Another goal would just make it safe.

Millie Turner meets a corner for Man Utd but she's stretching and she can't get any power into the header.

It needed a runner to turn it home, but it's comfortable for Shae Yanez.

  3. Has Spurs' attention turned to the FA Cup?published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Tottenham v Leicester (14:00 GMT)

Tottenham sit sixth in the Women's Super League, six points behind Liverpool in fifth.

With that in mind, along with them knocking out Manchester City in the FA Cup, is that now the focus?

It is the first time Spurs will feature in the FA Cup last four.

    Liverpool 3-0 West Ham

Two more changes for West Ham.

Off: Katrina Gorry and Honoka Hayashi

On: Princess Ademiluyi and Marika Bergman-Lundin

In between the goals and the substitutes the West Ham team got in a huddle and exchanged some words.

  5. RED CARD - Jamie-Lee Napier (Bristol City)published at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

Jamie-Lee Napier was booked in the first few minutes of this game and she picks up a second yellow here.

It's a late tackle on Geyse, with Napier done by the pace and touch of the Man Utd forward.

She's furious as she goes down the tunnel.

  6. Postpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

Kerstin Casparij does well to pick out Khadija Shaw in the middle of the area. The striker turns and plays it to Laura Coombs on the edge of the box. She has a pop but it's turned behind for a corner.

    Sophie Roman Haug

    What a finish.

A cross from the left drifts all the way through to Sophie Roman Haug at the back post.

It's not easy for the Norway forward because the ball is bouncing high, but she's able to readjust and hook into the far corner.

This is turning into a comfortable afternoon for the hosts.

  8. 'Goal difference could have a big say in the title race'published at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

Goal difference could potentially have a big say the title race, it is so tight at the top between the three of them.

Man City need to remain concentrated and not let Brighton get anything today, see out the result and the clean sheet.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Almost 3-0!

Lauren Hemp turns on the edge of the area and curls one towards the far corner with her right foot but it cannons off the post.

    What a strike!

  10. Postpublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

If City can see this out they will draw level on points with Chelsea at the top of the league.

They still trail Emma Hayes' side on goal difference though and will want to try and grab a few more here to reduce that deficit.

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

This is the closest Man Utd have come to doubling their lead.

Lucia Garcia gets the ball on the edge of the area and tries to curl into the top far corner.

She almost does it, with the ball drifting just wide of the upright.

  16. 'Second goal again comes from Brighton playing out from the back'published at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    HT: Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Fern Whelan
Former England and Brighton defender on BBC Two

The second City goal again comes from Brighton playing out from their own box. They switched off at the back post too which lets Mary Fowler in for the shot.

They have done well at times playing out from the back in the first half but you have to know when you can play out and when sometimes you just have to release it.

Teams like Man City will punish you if given those chances in front of goal.

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

    Got to score.

West Ham get down the right with Jess Ziu and her cut-back picks out Viviane Asseyi.

The contact on the strike isn't clean though and it loops over the bar.

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

    Where's that come from!?!

Maya Le Tissier powers through the midfield and in behind the Bristol City defence.

She's practically one on one with the goalkeeper but she just runs out of steam and the defenders are able to crowd her out.

She tries to backheel for Ella Toone but there's too much on it.
