Player of the Match Lauren Hemp speaking to BBC Two: "It was really fun, we got quite a few goals. Disappointed to concede the goal late on, the goal difference is going to be massive for us going forward so it is important that we really kick on with that.

"Great team performance, especially with the conditions how they were, we managed them really well.

On goal difference situation: "One of the messages throughout the week was to be ruthless and relentless. I think that is something that we have lacked in recent weeks so it was important for us to really focus on delivering that today.

"We created loads of chances and also scored them which was very helpful. So onwards we go and hopefully that's a statement in the league that we are here and we want to win it and we will try our best to do that.

On the title race: "I was at home, I watched it bit [Chelsea v Arsenal]. It was a good game of football but the focus is on ourselves and what is in our hands. We focus on what we can do to try and stop them from winning.

On the Manchester derby next week: "It is definitely one I look forward to, they are the games you want to play and be involved in. So I am looking forward to it, especially with it being at the Etihad, we've had good memories there, so it will be exciting."

Ooooh. That's not too far away from Nicole Momiki. She sends a lovely curled effort towards the top corner and produces a fine save from Rebecca Spencer.

Tottenham have a corner. Celin Bizet sends it low and hard to the edge of the area.

Lize Kop is down and in need of a bit of treatment. The keeper seems fine to continue and we'll have a drop ball to get things started again.

I think it is a shame for City to concede that late goal. To switch off and concede, especially off a set piece.

As has been mentioned goal difference could be key in the title race.

They will be pleased to get four goals in the game, and maybe chat about where they can avoid conceding those late goals in future games.

Leicester create themselves an opportunity to draw level but Jutta Rantala is crowded off the ball and Spurs have the chance to go up the other end.

I think that after the week that they have had, the main thing is that Man City have come away with the result. They will be disappointed with the goal conceded and will look at that again.

The one thing they can control is doing their job, and they did that. A professional performance.

Brighton showed good spells in the game, Lee Geum-min coming on and making a real difference in the second half and getting her goal.

That will be that.

Manchester City respond to a disappointing week with a comfortable win over Brighton. That moves them level on points with Chelsea at the top of the league.

What a title race we have on our hands.

If you look at Man City it comes down their right hand side where they have made two substitutions.

Chloe Kelly switched off and Esme Morgan switched off, you can't just stand there and watch a Brighton player pick up the ball and play it into the box.

It is poor from City, they will be very frustrated with it.

First real chance of the game for Leicester.

Saori Takarada plays a lovely little chip over the top for Jutta Rantala but it's hustled away by Spurs.

Takarada has a go from the edge of the area from the resulting corner but it's straight to the gloves of Rebecca Spencer.

The issue for Brighton today has been their difficulty supporting the forward players when they do get the ball up the field. Then the decision making at the top end of the pitch has been poor at times too.

It is all Tottenham right now, they're all over Leicester.

Matilda Vinberg has a chance to get her second of the afternoon but her shot is deflected into the path of Drew Spence and Sophie Howard does so well to stick a foot out and send it flying over the bar.

It could've gone anywhere, to be fair.

Yes I think it is the time for City to start thinking about goal difference.

They have the momentum, Chloe Kelly has just come on to add fresh legs to the attack too. They have every chance to do it, to get enough to go top of the league.

Another change for Brighton.

On comes 16-year-old Grace McEwan for her Women's Super League debut, she replaces Jorelyn Carabali.

City are also making a triple change. Off go Laia Aleixandri, Kerstin Casparij and Yui Hasegawa.

On come Esme Morgan, Ruby Mace and Alanna Kennedy.

What a strike!

Drew Spence absolutely crashes one off the crossbar from miles out and Lize Kop has to parry it away as it comes down.

Did she get a fingertip to that initial strike? Fair play, if so.

Now Gareth Taylor is going to make some changes. On come Chloe Kelly and Laura Blindkilde Brown for Laura Coombs and Lauren Hemp.

Brighton also make a change as Tatiana Pinto makes way for Veatriki Sarri.

I did say it was a matter of time for Laura Coombs.

She has been able to collect the ball time and again on the edge of the box, and this time she picks her spot to score the fourth.

She has had so much time and space on the edge of the box, no one came out to close her down quick enough.
