    HT: Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

I think City still have another couple of gears to go to get to their best level. But they do go in the happier of the teams as they lead by two goals.

A frustrating half for Brighton. It will be interesting to see if they continue to play in the way they have in the second half.

  5. CLOSE!published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

Ceri Holland is in behind the West Ham defence but the ball won't fall for her.

She keeps hold of it, and turns, but her curled effort is held by Mackenzie Arnold.

  6. 'Baggaley has to do much better with the first goal'published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    HT: Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Anita Asante
Former England defender on BBC Two

One versus one Lauren Hemp is deadly.

But I have to say that Sophie Baggaley has to do much better with the first goal. Near post finish, she has to get a stronger, firm hand to save the shot.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

Man Utd are still searching for that second goal to make this more comfortable.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

That's that for the first half. Frustrating half for Brighton but Manchester City will be happy with the game so far.

  9. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 2-0 West Hampublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Missy-Bo Kearns

This is a lovely goal from Liverpool.

Ceri Holland does really well on the left and her cross is perfect. It's straight on the head of Missy-Bo Kearns and the substitute powers a header past Mackenzie Arnold.

Liverpool are going to be there for fourth if there's any slip-ups from Manchester United.

  10. Postpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

Maria Thorisdottir is back on but she does look to be in some discomfort and is visibly upset.

Perhaps Brighton are just hoping to get to half time before taking a decision on whether she needs to come off.

  11. Postpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

Nikita Parris meets a cross from the right but her header is comfortably wide.

  12. 'City have punished Brighton and had the better chances'published at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Two

Brighton have looked dangerous when they have got into the final third but again it is the lack of quality from them at the end.

City have had the better chances in the game and have punished Brighton for overplaying too. They have deserved breathing space.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

Shania Hayles is winded after that effort and despite some treatment, that's her involvement done for the day.

    She's replaced by Mari Ward.

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

Maria Thorisdottir is down and looks to be in some bother here.

This doesn't look great as the physios come on and two of her teammates come over to offer their support.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Liverpool 1-0 West Ham

We're back under way at Prenton Park.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORK - Bristol Citypublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

    So close for the visitors.

Ffion Morgan's pace gets her in down the right and her cross is supberly flicked to the back post by Amalie Thestrup.

Shania Hayles runs onto it and her left-footed effort crashes into the post.

The referee does blow up for a foul, but I think the offence was after the strike so it would have counted.

  17. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Brighton 0-2 Man City

City almost in for a third as Brighton lose the ball deep in their own half and Lauren Hemp picks it up, lays it off to Khadija Shaw who is could have had a shot but is unselfish and looks for Mary Fowler.

    The effort is blocked, though.

  18. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2024

    Man Utd 1-0 Bristol City

The hosts are dominating possession at Leigh Sports Village.

There's still no clear-cut opportunity though.

One wide player setting up the other.

Good one two from Laura Coombs and Lauren Hemp, and a great delivery in to the box

It was in a difficult position for the keeper, does she come to claim the ball does she not?

Mary Fowler was there at the back post to score, a nice calm finish from her.

    Mary Fowler (40 mins)

Lovely delivery from Lauren Hemp on the left-hand side and Mary Fowler is arriving in the area and just pokes into the back of the net.

Brilliant composed finish from the Australian.
