  1. Off the line!published at 60 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle

Chelsea so close to getting a third. Raheem Sterling races through and only has Martin Dubravka to beat. The Newcastle goalkeeper delays Sterling, but he still finds half a yard to get his shot away and past the keeper.

But Dan Burn had done superbly to get back on the line and get his body in the way. Burn has kept Newcastle in this game. What a chance that was. Will it prove crucial?

  2. 'Palmer a bright light for Chelsea'published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

Newcastle have been sloppy in this half.

I called Palmer a bright light for Chelsea and it's a terrible period in the game for Newcastle - they made so many mistakes.

Palmer found himself in a little space, there was four players around him and he turned and hit it.

  3. goal

One assist and one goal for Cole Palmer. He is played the ball by Enzo Fernandez, takes a touch to get it out of his feet and then 22 yards out drills it left footed hard and low past Martin Dubravka. What a strike.

  4. Postpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle

It's warming up nicely and a bright start to the second half from both sides. Chelsea come again and Conor Gallagher sends in a tasty delivery into the near post, but Fabian Schar does well and heads away.

    Gary Neville
Former Manchester United defender on Sky Sports

In the first half the ball was on the opposite side and Raheem Sterling didn't get into the game much.

He went on to his favoured right foot, but was unable to wrap his foot around it.

  6. CLOSE!published at 54 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle

A right-footed shot from a tight angle from Chelsea's Raheem Sterling after linking up with Cole Palmer and the effort goes just wide.

  7. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle

Cole Palmer will be impressing England boss Gareth Southgate. He flashes a cross across the six-yard box from the right side after taking two Newcastle defenders on, but neither Conor Gallagher nor Raheem Sterling can get a touch that would have surely given Chelsea the lead again.

Alexander Isak is just the third Newcastle player to score home and away against Chelsea in a single Premier League campaign after Alan Shearer (1996-97) and Dwight Gayle (2017-18).

  9. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle

Newcastle make a bright start to the second half. Trevoh Chalobah doesn't do enough when trying to play out from the back, Miguel Almiron runs into the penalty area, shoots at goal, but Djordje Petrovic is alive to it and pushes it over the bar.

A save you'd expect him to make, but one that was needed.

And we're back under way. Can anyone go on and win this? The game is there for both sides.

Re. Tim at 20:41 - It's a gulf. There's no such thing as a small gulf. It was a fair point - as the game wore on, Chelsea were dreadful against Liverpool in the final. And yes, it is worth mentioning the young Reds team on that day. Gulf. A big gap.

    On Nicolas Jackson's goal...

"Nicolas Jackson is in a good position in the middle of the goal his reaction is brilliant."

    On Alexander Isak's goal...

"The key is to move it quick and then bang. The goalkeeper will not have been able to see it - too precise from Isak."

Alexander Isak was always going to go to his right foot, Disasi should have known better to keep him on his left - poor.

  14. How Opta predict the top 10 will lookpublished at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

As the Premier League heads into the business end of the season, statisticians Opta have been putting the remaining fixtures through their 'supercomputer' to predict who will finish where in the table at the end of the campaign.

Newcastle and Chelsea are only split up by four points in the current Premier League table, as they both look to make a late dash for European qualification.

According to Opta, the Magpies could be set to win that race and have a second season in Europe with a seventh place finish on 58.35 points.

Opta suggest the Blues are likely to miss out for a second season in a row with a ninth place finish on 54.84 points.

With the clash tonight focusing towards mid-table, the big question is who will win the title with 10 games to go?

After the drama of the draw between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, it is a good time to take stock of a thrilling three-way Premier League title race with 10 games to go.

For the first time since 2014, just one point separates the top three after 28 games played - and it now looks likely that it will go down to the wire.

The top three now don't play again in the league for three weeks - because of the FA Cup quarter-finals and an international break - returning when Liverpool play Brighton and Manchester City host Arsenal on Sunday 31 March.

That gives fans far too much time to over-analyse every single permutation - so BBC Sport, with data experts Nielsen's Gracenote, help to break down the title race match-by-match to see who is projected for glory or heartbreak.

Newcastle with their pace up front will be gutted that Thiago Silva is not playing, but Chelsea are playing well!

All square at the break. Nicolas Jackson flicked in from Cole Palmer's shot to give Chelsea a lead.

Newcastle started slowly and lost Anthony Gordon to injury, but a moment of brilliance from Alexander Isak just before the break has got them back in it and it's 1-1 and poised nicely.

  18. Postpublished at 45+4 mins

It's a much better game now. Conor Gallagher knocks it down for Raheem Sterling, he takes a touch and shoots from the edge of the penalty area, but it is straight at Martin Dubravka.

Dax: This offside rule has to change. Letting play go on when someone is 2ft off is crazy. Van De Ven got injured because of that. You're only going to get more and it makes no sense, offside is offside. Just call it!

Sven Botman will be a relieved man as it is the old one where one defender steps up and one runs back.

Fabian Schar plays Nicolas Jackson off – Botman slips and Jackson finishes it well.
