Both sets of players came here tonight looking to win. We see plenty of games in this competition where an away side look to take a "result" from the first leg that they can bring back home.

In this game tonight there was none of that from Atletico Madrid. DIego Simeone reacted to Inter's dominance at the start of the second half, taking off a midfielder and bringing on a forward. He went for it.

They kept on trying to win right until the end of the game, were always looking to score. They are still right in this tie.

A really enjoyable game of football.

We thought it would be special given the stadium we are at, the teams that are going head to head, and the atmosphere the fans were going t create, and we got just that.

Credit to Atletico Madrid they didn't give up, they kept pushing all the way through, and did not just settle for 1-0.

In the end, with chance created, the four for Marko Arnautovic, a few for Lautaro Martinez, the righ team won.

But it it also the right result for the return leg in a few weeks time, sets it up perfectly.

Borussia Dortmund will be the happier of the two sides, despite failing to hold on to the lead.

Ex-PSV man Donyell Malen game the Germans a first-half lead only for Luuk de Jong to equalise from the penalty spot early in the second half. March 13 for the second leg.

He's missed three chances, but Marko Arnautovic converts this one.

Diego Simeone will be furious as two of his Atletico players run into each other and Lautaro Martinez is released through the middle.

Jan Oblak can only parry the resulting strike and it falls to Arnautovic. He hits it hard and it's a good job he does as, despite a desperate attempt from Samuel Lino on the goalline, the ball hits the back of the net. Inter with the advantage.

Inter's Lautaro Martinez sprints to the near post, gets to a deep cross first ahead of marker Stefan Savic and there's some power on the header too but not enough direction. Jan Oblak guesses the right way, dives to his right and does superbly to hang on to it. Top keeper.

    This game deserves a goal.

At the very least the second half needs a goal, there have been plenty of good chances for both sides.

The pace has not slowed down one bit, if anything the game keeps moving quicker as the half goes on.

Johan Bakayoko does the hard bit for PSV by jinking inside his marker to get inside the penalty area, but there's just no conviction on the shot and it's easily dealt with by Alexander Meyer.

Marius Wolf almost flicks the ball into the net for Borussia Dortmund, but Walter Benitez is alert to it and just about manages to claw the ball away before it can creep inside the near post.

Good skill from Wolf, who improvised with a backheel to connect with a cross with his back to goal, but kept out by Benitez.
