Inter have been the better side and have another chance. Nicolo Barella is involved with a square pass, he finds Marcus Thuram but he hits it straight at Jan Oblak.

Thuram may have done some damage to himself while shooting too.

Far too casual from Rodrigo de Paul in midfield and he doesn't track back.

Lautaro Martinez is in on goal with no one in between him and the keeper but he mishits it. I think he has to at least hit the target there.

Lautaro Martinez is looking a threat for Inter. He is central and on the edge of the penalty area, but doesn't get the best connection and wastes the chance.

Ismael Saibari links up well with Malik Tillman and fires a shot at goal, but Alexander Meyer does well to quickly get down to it and parry the attempt. PSV have responded well since going behind.

Inter are beginning to take control. Nicolo Barella crosses and Lautaro Martinez leaps ahead of his marker to power a header at goal. Jan Oblak is called into action for the first time and dives to his left and holds the attempt.

A chance for an equaliser. Johan Bakayoko is arriving late at the back post and is met with a cross, but the ball bounces up and the winger can't adjust his feet quick enough. He leaps and volleys, but it's wide of the goal.

It's taken 32 minutes for the two Inter strikers to work together, and what do you know, they look dangerous.

They need to find a way of getting their two forwards linking together more, because they are a real threat.

Marcel Sabitzer is needing some treatment here for Dortmund and then moves to the sidelines very slowly.

Donyell Malen has scored his first goal in the 2023-24 Champions League, scoring for the first time in the competition since 7 December, 2021 against Besiktas.

The assist goes to ex-Manchester United man Marcel Sabitzer, but the goal was all about Malen's skill and pace.

PSV's Malik Tillman is found from a free-kick, gets there ahead of his marker but in a central spot nods wide from eight yards out. He's furious with himself at not hitting the target, although he would've been offside anyway.

We have hardly heard Lautaro Martinez's name mentioned yet so far. He has been policed so well by the Atletico back line, very few chances for either team yet really.

Don't get me wrong there have been some lovely passages of play from both sides, some nice attacking movements, but the game is missing that goal to spark it off.

Jadon Sancho is involved in the build-up for Dortmund, starting a move that ends with a low cross and it finds Niclas Fullkrug. Maybe he's got more time than he thinks and could've taken a touch but instantly he spins and shoots in one motion but blasts it well over the top.

A chance for PSV's Malik Tillman and he finds himself free in the penalty area. He goes for the far corner but pulls his low strike well wide when he should've hit the target.

The quality in passing and movement in this game so far has been phenomenal.
