Phenomenal chance.
What about the move though, two one-twos, a lovely third man run, the ball gets to Marko Arnautovic and he has missed it again.
First chance missed you can forgive as he had barely been on the pitch, but he's been on long enough now that he has to hit the target there. He has to score.
He leans back for some reason and it goes over.
Inter Milan 0-0 Atletico Madrid
Marko Arnautovic could have had a hat-trick since coming on at half-time for Inter Milan. He plays a one-two with Lautaro Martinez and only has Jan Oblak to beat eight yards out. But it is an awful miss from Arnautovic, who leans back and skies his shot when he just has to do better.
Inter Milan 0-0 Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid have brought on ex-Chelsea man Alvaro Morata by the way, coming on for Saul Niguez. Can Morata be the match-winner?
PSV Eindhoven 1-1 Borussia Dortmund
Donyell Malen, who came through the ranks at PSV, nearly gets his second of the night for Dortmund.
The ball bounces for him at the back post and at the tight angle, but Walter Benitez does well to smother the shot.
Luuk de Jong (PSV, penalty)
Luuk de Jong places the penalty in the bottom corner and just beyond the dive of Alexander Meyer, who came into the game only after Gregor Kobel injured himself in the warm-up.
And we're level.
PSV Eindhoven 0-1 Borussia Dortmund
Mats Hummels slides in on Malik Tillman. Hummels says he got the ball, maybe so, but he then wipes out the PSV man in the follow-through.

Second half has started in a not too dissimilar way to how the first started. Inter have come out with high energy and are pushing on and high up the pitch.
It remains to be seen if they can keep it up for longer this half.
Inter Milan 0-0 Atletico Madrid
Another chance for Marko Arnautovic. Nicolo Barella, who has been impressive for Inter, crosses to the back post and Arnautovic rises well to get there with the header, but nods it wide.

At the end of the first half we said that the Inter wing-backs were not giving the side enough going forwards. Well, at the start of this second half they are both flying forwards and what a difference it has made.
Marko Arnautovic with his first real chance since coming on at half time was unlucky not to be able to keep his effort down from a few yards out.
Inter Milan 0-0 Atletico Madrid
A chance for Marko Arnautovic instantly after coming on. Inter with a brilliant move from one end of the pitch to the other, a cross is fired in to Arnautovic and at full stretch he tries to smash it in but over it goes.
Back under way in the Netherlands and Italy.
Inter Milan 0-0 Atletico Madrid
As expected, Marcus Thuram is unable to play on after injuring himself late in the first half. On comes Marko Arnautovic, the ex-Stoke and West Ham man.

Morata has been a big miss for Atletico Madrid so far tonight.
He is brilliant in the air, positions himself really well. He is starting to become the player we all hoped he would be when he came over to England to play for Chelsea, and he is a key focal point for Atletico.
If the team get out wide or if Antoine Griezmann gets a yard of space they know where Morata is going to be, they know where to aim for when sending the ball into the box.
The classic runs a centre forward makes, he makes. There is an understanding there, a telepathy there with the Morata in the team. Marcos Llorente looks every bit a winger that has been stuck up there to fill a gap.

From Inter's point of view it has all been a bit too slow.
I was expecting them to get at Atletico more, to run at them, to take more risks and play the ball around much quicker.
Axel Witsel for Atletico was identified before the game as a player they could exploit and get joy from, but at the moment Inter are making him look outstanding right now.

A really sharp start from Inter but it only lasted 5-10 minutes or so. Atletico Madrid dealt with them really well for the majorirty of the half, some nice passing moves but did not create much.
Atletico Madrid have looked good in spells going forward but their problem is that they are lacking a focal point up top to help them build and sustain attacks. They need someone up there they can aim for, someone they can put the ball in the box for.
Inter have had the best chances but Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram could not take them.

The Gunners topped their group on their return to the competition after a six-year absence and face the 30-time Portuguese champions for a place in the last eight.

Porto could be without Mehdi Taremi after the club confirmed the Iran striker was struggling with a thigh injury sustained in training on Sunday.
The Portuguese side are already missing Nigeria full-back Zaidu Sanusi, who is out for the season with a knee injury, with centre-back Ivan Marcano another long-term absentee.
Half-time in our two games and we've got two more matches to come in the Champions League tomorrow...
