Again, Conor Chaplin works Blackburn's defence.
He takes the ball wide on the right in the area, then cuts back inside and shoots low.
Aynsley Pears has to react to keep it out.

Conor Chaplin had to go across goal there, rather than shoot.
If he did, one of his teammates would have had a tap in.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
How much do Ipswich want this win?
Well, it took Conor Chaplin only seconds of the second half to get off a warning shot.
He slams an effort into the side netting.

For the moment, Ipswich are taking care of all that they can take care of.
At least for a little while, an eighth win in nine, would see Ipswich top the table.
Let's see if Ipswich can raise their intensity, I am sure that Kieran McKenna would have echoed those words.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Ipswich get us back up and running at Ewood Park.
Can Ipswich see through the win and go top of the Championship, or can Blackburn fight back to earn something in their fight to stay clear of the relegation spots?
HT: Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Conor Chaplin is the wind beneath Ipswich's wings right now, as his goal has them heading top of the table.
Of course, there is a big 45 minutes to come and plenty can still happen.
Also, fellow high-flyers Leeds United are yet to play today. So the picture can still change a lot.

It has been eventful.
I am having my doubts as to whether Stuart Attwell will blow his full-time whistle with 22 players still on the pitch at the end.
The officials are being told that they are not fit enough to referee by supporters.

Ipswich came out brighter and sharper. Within the first five minutes of the game, they should have had a penalty.
Only a few minutes later, Conor Chaplin gets a little pass on towards the net and Aynsley Pears in Blackburn's goal has an absolute howler.
Blackburn can't get a shot. Then, when they do, the goal is offside.
They need to get attempts on target. Ipswich have a gameplan, but at the moment, Rovers are still in the game.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Conor Chaplin's goal is the difference at half-time, as Ipswich lead 1-0.
But that first 45 minutes had it all, a big penalty shout for the visitors, a disallowed goal for the hosts and plenty of heavy challenges in-between.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
We are into the first of three minutes of injury time.
And it seems that Blackburn assistant manager Keith Downing has earned himself a yellow card.
This game certainly has some fire in it.

There is no hesitation from the referee as he produces a yellow card for Tyrhys Dolan after he swept Sam Morsy off his feet with a sliding tackle.

It was good centre-forward play from Ipswich Town's Kieffer Moore.
Omari Hutchinson just couldn't get the right touch on the ball.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
It's not all possession for possession sake for Ipswich, right now.
Omari Hutchinson tries to scamper away down the right, but is stopped just as he looked like running clear.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Just when Blackburn looked like they were gaining some momentum, Ipswich have slowed things down and are just shifting the ball around.
One way to stop Rovers from getting too confident, is simply not allowing them to have the ball... and the visitors are doing a good job of it.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Joe Rankin-Costello and Massimo Luonga smack into each other in the middle of the park and are grabbing various body parts.
It's nothing serious, but they certainly felt that collision.

I think Kieran McKenna will be having a few words at half-time.
His side are beginning to let Blackburn into the game.
Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich
Blackburn have themselves a corner, and as they take their places you can see a few Rovers players having a word with referee Stuart Atwell.
Maybe it is about the disallowed goal, and the fact it could have taken a final touch off a visiting player.
They eventually take the corner, and Ipswich deal with it.

Stu in Nottingham: Quite refreshing seeing Ipswich at the top of the league, even if it's as it stands. Just goes to show that any team can still compete.

Ipswich should have had a penalty and then there are controversies about Blackburn's 'goal' as it looked like the ball came off an Ipswich player.
Interesting calls going against both sides in this one.
Blackburn are now buoyed by that passage of play.

It was good play from Blackburn, but Ipswich gave the ball away far too easily.
Their defender Axel Tuanzebe was nowhere to be seen.
Fortunately, offside was given against Rovers' Joe Rankin-Costello.
