  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

Junior Firpo totally mistimes an attempted tackle on Regan Slater on the halfway line and the referee doesn't like it, not one bit.

First booking of the night goes to the Leeds full-back.

Lee in County Durham: There was more entertainment and passion in the first 10 minutes than there was in the entire Man City v Arsenal match yesterday. These two teams want to win!

Sam in Leeds: Held breath when the yellow goal sign came up. Goodness me we Leeds fans stick through thick and thin so praying for best results which the team work so hard for tonight

  3. 'It's easier to score'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 1 April

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

That's harder to do, to get it up in the air like that, it's easier to put in in.

I tell you what Mateo Joseph has just got out of the dugout and started warming up infront of the manager after seeing that.

    How has Patrick Bamford missed?!

Leeds United tear the Tigers apart down their left and Dan James squares for one-time England international and now BBC podcaster Bamford.

I'm not sure if he takes his eye off it as he thinks Ryan Giles is going to clear it so isn't expecting the ball to run to him but run to him it does and he spoons it over from four yards.

    Big let-off for Hull City.

  5. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

Four goals in their past five matches before tonight for Hull City.

They've had about two thirds of the possession in this game so far but they're yet to have a shot of any nature.

  6. 'Consistency is the key'published at 20:22 British Summer Time 1 April

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

Leeds' players are consistent. They hurt us. Look at Rutter running with the ball there. We have some good players who can do that but it's doing it week-in, week-out. That's what the top teams do.

The frustrating thing for me is that we don't do it as often as we should.

City look the better team at the moment, they're playing some good stuff and if anything look more of a threat.

  7. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

The Tigers have responded pretty well to falling behind to be fair to them.

They're a really tidy team on the ball.

Their problem is they're playing without a recognised striker and quality balls are being played into dangerous areas... but there's no takers in an amber shirt.

  8. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

I was just going to say before that Sam Byram goal that neither of these sides are taking a backwards step tonight.

If Hull City are to take the points now they'll be both the first away team to win at Elland Road this season and the first team to come back from behind to beat them this campaign.

    Quite a tough ask then.

  9. 'Rutter is the architect'published at 20:13 British Summer Time 1 April

    Leeds 1-0 Hull City

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

Take a bow Georginio Rutter, wriggled his way out of two or three challenges and found Summerville and it's a good finish from Byram. He gets above it, heads it down and gives the keeper no chance.

Brilliant feet by Rutter. He's the architect of this goal.

    Lift off at Elland Road!

Leeds full-back Sam Byram wins the ball back on the halfway line and the home side are straight on it.

The ball's moved from right to left and Ryan Allsop can only parry a Crysencio Summerville shot high into the air.

Byram comes charging in at the back post to head it in from close range with Tigers defenders stood motionless.

Leeds back to second as it stands.

  11. 'Nice approach play from Archie Gray'published at 20:07 British Summer Time 1 April

    Leeds 0-0 Hull City

    Neil Redfearn
Former Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

His grandad will be saying 'you should have hit the target son...'

For our younger readers, Archie Gray is the grandson of former Leeds player Frank Clark. He's also the great-nephew of United legend Eddie Gray. And his dad Andy Gray also had two spells with the Whites... Talk about pedigree.

  12. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Leeds 0-0 Hull City

Leeds teenager Archie Gray, enjoying a breakthrough season, goes in search of his first goal in senior football.

He exchanges a one-two with Daniel James and motors into the area.

He goes to lash it into the top corner at the near post but sends it way over.

  13. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Leeds 0-0 Hull City

Really bright start from Hull City in the first minute.

Ozan Tufan is nearly in behind the Leeds defence, who think Illan Meslier is going to come and deal with it.

Ultimately the Frenchamn's presence is enough to put the forward off and the ball runs out of play.

  14. 'You have to get it right in this atmosphere'published at 20:03 British Summer Time 1 April

    Leeds 0-0 Hull City

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

City have done it against good teams before. Southampton wasn't a fluke. We destroyed them in the first half, it could have been 4-0 at half-time.

The atmosphere here can go one of two ways. If you don't get it right on the night you can get turned over 4, 5, or 6. If Leeds start right and we don't then you fear the worst, but we have eight games left, it starts today.

Leicester have won, Ipswich have won and now it's over to Leeds.

Can they pick up a 16th home win from 20 league games infront of their own fans this season or will Hull City upset the form book to claim a vital win for their own play-off aspirations?

Leeds v Hull City (20:00 BST)

    • Leeds have kept a clean sheet in six of their past seven league matches against Hull – the other game was a 2-0 defeat at Elland Road in December 2018.
    • Hull have only won four of their 26 away league trips to face Leeds United (D6 L16), although two have been in their most recent five at Elland Road (2012-13 and 2018-19).
    • Leeds United have lost 11 of their past 12 league matches on Easter Monday, their only victory in this run coming away at Yeovil in April 2010 thanks to a Richard Naylor double.
    • Hull City have won one of their past 12 away league games played on Easter Monday (D5 L6), a 3-2 win at Swansea City back in April 2004 under Peter Taylor.

Leeds United make one change from the team that started the 2-2 draw at Watford on Friday. Junior Firpo is in for Liam Cooper. That means teenager Archie Gray moves back into midfield and Ethan Ampadu back into the heart of defence.

  19. Can Tigers rediscover their bite to stun Whites?published at 19:45 British Summer Time 1 April

Leeds v Hull City (20:00 BST)

That stunning late, late winner for Ipswich means Leeds United can't go top tonight but a 16th home win of the season will send them back up to second as the Championship promotion race continues to heat up (unlike the weather outside amirite?).

The Whites weren't at their best in Friday's 2-2 draw at Watford but did enough to avoid slipping to a first league defeat of the calendar year.

Tonight's visitors Hull City are seeing their promising season swiftly fade away.

The Tigers are winless in their past five matches and have slipped to six points off the top six, albeit with two games in hand on Norwich before kick off this evening.

For Liam Rosenior's men there's no time like the present.

    FT: Ipswich 3-2 Southampton

Here's how the top of the Championship table looks after that game - and before Leeds take on Hull in today's final fixture.

Ipswich move two points clear at the top of the table courtesy of Jeremy Sarmiento's late strike against Southampton.

    The title race is on!

Southampton remain fourth after that frantic finale and Leeds head into their game at Elland Road knowing that victory against Hull will only send them second at best.
