  1. CLOSE!published at 79 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

Southampton's Adam Armstrong gets a glimpse of goal in the box and swivels but somehow Ipswich get bodies there.

Looked for all money he'd score, but they just about snuffed him out.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

Sub made by Saints as Che Adams makes way for Samuel Edozie.

David Brooks earlier replaced Ryan Fraser by the way.

  3. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

Ipswich thunder out of the blocks on the counter and it's Ali Al-Hamadi who carries the threat.

Al-Hamadi finds himself sandwiched between two defenders, with options either side, but can't quite decide, goes alone and is smothered.

The loose ball breaks to Conor Chaplin, but his shot is well wide.

  4. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

All of a sudden it's Southampton who can't clear their lines.

Omari Hutchinson curls in a cross and in complete contradiction to what I've said above, Taylor Harwood-Bellis absolute steams a clearance which goes out of play on the left 20 yards from the byline in the opposite half.

    Have it.

  5. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

Free-kick for a foul on Jack Taylor, and Ipswich load the box.

Leif Davis swings it in, but it's not curled enough and goes through to Gavin Bazunu.

  6. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

    Ipswich are fired up.

Gavin Bazunu is hassled into a poor clearance and gives Ipswich a chance.

Sam Morsy has a pop from distance which bobbles awkwardly at goalkeeper Bazunu, but Southampton just about soak it up.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 70 mins

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

Thunderous late challenge on Stuart Armstrong by Ipswich midfielder Jack Taylor earns him a booking.

    Clumsy and fierce.

  8. 'Saints have to be braver'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 1 April

    Ipswich 2-2 Southampton

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

Could Bazunu have done better? I think maybe it's just too quick, but a very good keeper would probably save it.

Saints have got to be braver. They have to be up for it. They have to get back to believing, they should be well ahead.

  9. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 2-2 Southamptonpublished at 68 mins

    Nathan Broadhead

    Lovely goal. Ipswich level.

It was Conor Chaplin who spread it to Leif Davis on the left.

He was held up but rolled it back to Jack Taylor, and he then pushed a pass into the box.

Nathan Broadhead races onto it and curls a low drive first time past goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. Super finish.

  10. 'This is a gamble from Russell Martin'published at 19:03 British Summer Time 1 April

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

Jan Bednarek is really struggling I have to say. It's a gamble Saints are taking with him, seeing if he can recover...

Saints have to keep their concentration. The game is in their face. The injury to Bednarek has unsettled them a little bit.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 67 mins

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

Sharp interplay releases Ali Al-Hamadi for Ipswich, as they break the Southampton lines.

Al-Hamadi snaps the shot, on the stretch, and it agonisingly bounces off the post and out.

Better from Ipswich. Nathan Broadhead was involved and looks to have made a difference here.

  12. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

Jan Bednarek is moving with real difficulty and discomfort. How long will Saints stick with him?

Meanwhile, throw in down in Ipswich's right full-back position.

    Ipswich get it back.

  13. 'Interesting period coming up'published at 18:59 British Summer Time 1 April

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

I was pleased with the opening of the second half.It was end to end. I thought that would be Ipswich's best opportunity, but because of the quality of Southampton they have used that to their advantage and began to dictate play and create chance after chance

It's an interesting part of the game. Do Southampton keep their heads even though they know they should be more goals ahead?

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

Harry Clarke, Jack Taylor and Nathan Broadhead come on for Ipswich as Kieran McKenna reacts to their current plight.

Kayden Jackson, Axel Tuanzebe and Massimo Luongo come off.

Jan Bednarek for Southampton is down, and might well be joining them.

  15. Postpublished at 60 mins

Southampton close again, a wickedly curled cross by Ryan Fraser looks odds on to reach Adam Armstrong in the box, but a lunging Cameron Burgess cuts it out.

    Ipswich 1-2 Southampton

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

It's been a problem for Southampton - killing games off. Saints are playing really good football and Ipswich are expending a lot of energy trying to keep up with them. It's not what you want as a player.

Ryan Fraser is set away by a through-ball from Flynn Downes, but Ipswich goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky is big and brave and denies him.

  18. Postpublished at 57 mins

Ryan Fraser looks like he's away from Axel Tuanzebe after a lovely ball inside the full-back, but Southampton's effort is denied by the recovering full-back.

Kayden Jackson breaks but his cut-back is mopped up.

Intricate play between Joe Aribo and Che Adams sees Southampton gain position in the box, but the chipped cross is headed away.

Ipswich starved of the ball right now. Saints are winding the vice.

  20. Postpublished at 55 mins

Adam Armstrong works a yard on the edge of the Ipswich box for Saints, and snaps a shot which arcs toward goal following a deflection but again Vaclav Hladky is equal to it.

Ipswich defending, concede a corner. The pressure is mounting.
