  1. CLOSE!published at 20:08 British Summer Time 9 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

Bayern are not allowing Arsenal any time on the ball. Bukayo Saka is challenged by Jamal Musiala and the hosts have a throw-in just inside the Bayern half.

Then Gabriel Martinelli flashes a shot narrowly wide of the post. The Brazilian gestures towards the crowd and throws his arms in the air.

The noise is on another level.

    Real Madrid 0-1 Man City

It's all a bit pinball in the middle of the park as Real Madrid look for a reaction.

Federico Valverde squares across for Vinicius Junior but the Brazilian skies it over the bar. City won't want to allow him to be getting in too many of those positions tonight.

Stupid from Tchouaméni. 40 seconds in and not only is he on a booking for the rest of this game he's out of the next leg. Very naive defending, but you could blame the gaffer for sticking a CM at CB!

    A very, very naive challenge.

Jack Grealish was losing his balance, tripping and heading to ground and Tchouameni does not need to dive in there. He does not need to make that tackle and pays the price by missing the next leg.

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

Early touch for former Arsenal player Serge Gnabry. Bayern have actually settled quite well. The Gunners are playing it around patiently from the back but veteran keeper Manuel Neuer has had nothing to do.

Well it couldn't be a worse start for Real Madrid, an early booking for their central defender and now a goal down from the resulting free-kick.

It's a brilliant, clever effort from Bernardo Silva, left-footed and whistling past Andriy Lunin from around 25-yards out with Real's wall nowhere to be seen.

    Real Madrid 0-0 Man City

Well, it's early days to be getting yourself in the referee's book but Aurelien Tchouameni finds himself in there inside one minute after bringing down Jack Grealish.

That means the Frenchman will miss next week's tie at the Etihad.

  10. Excellent atmosphere for a big gamepublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 9 April

Arsenal v Bayern Munich (20:00 BST)

This match rightly has a big game feel. The home fans are really up for this. This game is unique too as there are no away fans in attendance.

Real Madrid fans are all dressed in white, at the request of their players, in order to create a spectacle under the roof at the Bernabeu.

They're banging drums, waving scarves and generally creating a brilliant atmosphere.

The display in the stands is quite something.

What an impact Harry Kane has had for Bayern Munich.

It's incredible the amount of goals he has scored for a team that is not performing at its very best. He is always going to be a constant threat and a player Arsenal are going to have to keep a close eye on.

He scores all types of goals. Outside the box, inside the box, headers, tap-ins.

The Emirates is a sea of red as the players make their way out. Remember, there are no Bayern Munich fans inside the ground for this. There are Arsenal flags and banners everywhere you look.

  14. 'Makes sense to bring back Martinelli on the left'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 9 April

I think Mikel Arteta had a big decision to make in terms of Gabriel Jesus or Gabriel Martinelli.

Martinelli has been his go to man on that left hand side for virtually the whole season, so I can understand why he brings him back in tonight. His pace and directness and his willingness to get at Joshua Kimmich at right back for Bayern will be an area they are targeting.

  15. 'City's biggest test of the season'published at 19:56 British Summer Time 9 April

Real Madrid v Man City (20:00 BST)

    Chris Waddle

I think this will be Man City's biggest test of the season.

Real Madrid are right up for it, they want to avenge last season's result and if City get anything from this tie tonight it will be a great result.

Five minutes to kick-off. This is the first time the Emirates has staged a Champions League quarter-final for 14 years. It sounds extra loud tonight.

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel: "Arsenal are currently the best team in the Premier League and that is deserved, all the data shows that.

"They are in great form and have been at the highest level for the last two seasons so it's a massive test for us. It's the second year for them where they're playing at this really high level, they have so much energy on the pitch and they can keep it for a long time.

We know about our own strengths and how we want to cause them pain. We know the Champions League is a competition where we have more experience over the last few years. We want to use it to our advantage."

  18. Last chance of successpublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 9 April

Arsenal v Bayern Munich (20:00 BST)

This has been a season to forget for Bayern Munich domestically and the Champions League represents their last chance to win a trophy this season.

They trail Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen by 16 points with just 18 points to play for, and were knocked out of the German Cup by a third division team.

Bayern also arrived in north London on the back of two successive defeats and threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Heidenheim on Saturday.

It has already been announced that boss Thomas Tuchel will be leaving at the end of the season.

  19. 'Ederson and de Bruyne clearly not at 100%'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 9 April

Real Madrid v Man City (20:00 BST)

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Some big decisions made by Pep Guardiola with his side this evening, and with key players too.

Ederson is one of the best in the business so he is obviously not 100% or he would be in the side. I am surprised he hasn't started Kevin de Bruyne, played very well against Palace, scored twice, but he is clearly working on his fitness still and not back to his top level.

I think in terms of the balance of the side Guardiola has gone for more legs and energy in order to combat Real Madrid.

Godhelpus: Arsenal struggled against Porto and Bayern Munich are not in top form. Man City are not the team they were last season and Real Madrid are far better than they were. Interesting ties.
