2 teams one bursting with confidence the other at their lowest ebb in years. Never been a better time to play Bayern . They very vulnerable and defensively poor. However there's always Kane...and Bayern have no other chance of winning silverware this year. A confident gunners to win

That Bayern 11 (Dier aside - sorry) should be brilliant, but their form is awful. Best chance Arsenal have had to beat them possibly ever?

Eric Dier says he is playing the "best football of my career" and should still be part of the England squad.

The Bayern Munich defender, who has 49 caps, has not played for England since their World Cup last-16 win over Senegal in December 2022.

Dier, 30, joined Bayern in January after almost 10 years at Tottenham.

"Since the World Cup, I wouldn't say that I've had any dip in form," Dier told The Overlap podcast., external

"I'm playing the best football of my career since (Antonio) Conte came (to manage Tottenham in 2021) and I've carried it on since.

"People think that I'm 37 or something, but I'm 30 years old and am nowhere near the end of my prime and imagine that this will be my prime.

"I want to be a part of the England set-up and I believe that I should be a part of it, that I'm that level of a player."

Jimmy1960: Real Madrid will be crying having to face Man City. Bayern Munich will be worried about Arsenal. Then a semi final out of those teams. WOW. All I gotta say is...COYGs. Very difficult but doable.

Last time these two sides met was in the Champions League semi-finals last season and, after a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu, Manchester City blew 14-time European Champions Real Madrid away with a 4-0 thrashing at the Etihad en route to winning the title.

City boss Pep Guardiola believes that will be in Real's mind in this evening's quarter-final with revenge on the cards.

"It is very difficult for the same thing to happen again," Guardiola said.

"Beating Real Madrid twice in a row is impossible. They have learned and will want revenge. They have pride."

Can never write Madrid off in this competition, as for Munich, Kane with something to prove against his old enemy. Gonna be a great night of action.

This is a hard place to come, without a doubt. Not many teams come here and get a result.

From last season, when Man City drew here and then hammered Madrid back home, I think we will see a very different Madrid side. There are still some players in the side from that tie, but they have brought others in since, Jude Bellingham being one of them.

They are a fitter side, a stronger side than last year. They have more pace about them. It will be a different game from last season.

Kasparov: Brutal legs at this stage, worthy finals. But fancy Arsenal over a limping Bayern and Man City unstoppable even against Real Madrid. Mouthwatering all-England semi, winner will win outright. Can't see anyone surprising on the other side of the draw.

This is going to be a fascinating game.

Under the lights, European night...Arsenal will go right after Bayern Munich. They won't care about the damage Bayern can do to them.

Arsenal will go out, play their game and really try and suffocate them.

I think Arsenal will keep a clean sheet and win 2-0.
