    That was excellent from Italian referee Daniele Orsato.

    He allowed Manchester City to restart play on the halfway line even though Dani Carvajal was on the ground, apparently injured.

    Orsato thought Carvajal was time-wasting and although Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff vented their anger when Kevin de Bruyne's shot was eventually saved, the Real Madrid defender recovered quickly enough not to need treatment.
