[Kieffer Moore] I think it's a sensible move, looking at some of the Poland games in the past couple of days they struggle with balls in the box, for me it's the right move.

    It's tantalisingly close now...

Ricky from Barry says: “I’m a little bit nervous.

“I’ve been to Qatar, I’ve been to Paris. I believe we can do this.

“I think we’ll do it on penalties. I’ve already booked the flights (for Germany). We’re gonna do this.

“Brennan Johnson – this is his night!”

Carolyn from Newcastle Emlyn agrees it's going to be a win for Wales.

“We’ve done it before, we can do it again. We’re going to qualify tonight. I’m predicting 3-2 to us," she said.

"It’ll be the fourth tournament I’m going to.

“All the boys should celebrate how well they’re all doing for their country, because they love us."

We mentioned him earlier on, but Robbie Savage won't be the only ex-professional footballer who is a proud Welsh dad tonight.

Former Newport captain Tony James is in the same boat, with his son, Jordan James, expected to start for Wales tonight.

“I am Immensely proud," he told BBC Radio Wales Breakfast.

"It’s been a whirlwind since he got invited to the squad. It’s gone so fast.

"For him to be potentially getting his 10th cap this evening. It is unbelievable. If you ever get to speak to JJ, you will realise what a level headed and calm kid he is.

"It surprises me how easily he deals with things. He knows it is a massive game. All the players realise how big a game it is but honestly, if you spoke to him, it’s as if he’s going over the field with his mates playing.

“If they get to Germany, we’re all geared up ready to go so fingers crossed and that will be our family holiday for the summer."

Harry Wilson says Wales will need a collective effort to fill the void left by Gareth Bale.

Wales face Poland in a Euro 2024 play-off final on Tuesday, the culmination of their first qualifying campaign since Bale, their all-time leading goalscorer and former captain, retired.

Manager Robert Page has referenced Wilson as a player who has taken on more responsibility in Bale's absence.

"I don't think anyone was going to replace Gaz [Bale]," said Wilson.

"We knew when he left as a team we had to step up because he was leaving such a hole in that team.

"He was our captain, our leader, our best player. To lose his goals and his influence on the team, there was going to be a big gap there.

"It's not just me, a lot of players are playing really well at the moment. We're all coming together."

I think Rob Page has got the central midfield area spot on.

He's found that partnership between Ethan Ampadu and Jordan James, it gives us a real platform to go and attack teams.

We need that stability tonight to go and attack Poland.

“A nice early goal to get us ahead, then I think we’ll be cushty.

“I’m going to say 3-1 to Wales. Book the flights, let’s go.

Wales manager Robert Page said after last week's game against Finland the hotel for Germany has already been booked.

Amazon workers Justin Matthews, 28, and Ashley Morris, 33, from Neath have also been making some early preparations.

"Hotels are booked, we were chatting on the train, thinking about booking flights already, Poland are good though so we are going to wait. I can't wait!"

The pair previously went to watch Wales play in the last Euros out in Baku, and they're backing the team to reach a third consecutive major tournament, predicting a 2-1 win extra time tonight.

But win or lose tonight, "either way it's going to be messy".

    Wales v Poland (19:45 GMT)

Wales women's new boss Rhian Wilkinson attended a Wales football match for the first time as Rob Page's side hammered Finland and she definitely enjoyed the experience.

“I had been to a Welsh rugby game before and it had been such an incredible moment hearing the anthem," she told BBC Sport Wales.

“It surpassed all expectations the other night (the Finland game), just being in the middle of that atmosphere.

“Wales scored the quick goal and what a moment, I went to celebrate and hug the person next to me and it was Ian Rush! So it was pretty special.

“Tonight I definitely think they have got the Welsh public behind them. If they can deliver a performance like in the second-half against Finland, I think there is every chance of success.

“I had a quick word with Ian Rush, I don’t think he was expecting to celebrate with me, but I’ve definitely gone up in my mother's esteem."

  14. When Wales beat Polandpublished at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Wales v Poland (19:45 GMT)

    Aled Williams
    BBC Wales Sport

Wales’ only victory over Poland came in the first ever meeting between the nations 51 years ago this week.

Goals from Leighton James – his first for Wales - and Trevor Hockey secured a 2-0 win at Cardiff’s Ninian Park in March 1973 in a World Cup qualifying group that also included England.

The larger than life bearded Yorkshire-born Hockey, the son of a Welsh rugby player who switched from union to league, also proved to be a pivotal figure in the return match in Chorzow.

Hockey became the first Wales player to be sent-off on an evening in which Dave Bowen’s side were beaten 3-0 by a Polish team which would famously deny England a place in the finals in West Germany in 1974.

Wales and Poland meet at the Cardiff City Stadium, with the winner booking their place in this summer's European Championships in Germany.

Barcelona's Lewandowksi has been one of Europe's best strikers for over a decade, and Wilson said "first and foremost" Wales must eliminate the threat the 35-year-old presents.

  20. Ben Davies - Wales and Tottenham Hotspur's reluctant starpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Wales v Poland (19:45 GMT)

Ben Davies is a reluctant star. He is the rock around which Wales' defence is built, and Tottenham's longest-serving current player, yet Davies is not celebrated like some of his peers.

That is partly by design from the 30-year-old, who is happy to cloak himself in the relative anonymity which comes with playing alongside the likes of Gareth Bale and Harry Kane.

Try as he might to avoid the spotlight, though, Davies' quality shines through - and his interventions have helped change the course of history for his teams.

There was the goal-saving clearance against Slovakia at Euro 2016, without which Wales' ascent to the semi-finals may never have got off the ground.

Then there was the Champions League semi-final in 2019. It was his interception which led to Tottenham's last-gasp winner to seal one of the most dramatic comebacks of all time.

Now Davies wears the captain's armband for his country - albeit in the absence of regular skipper Aaron Ramsey - it is a little harder for him to go unnoticed.
