Everton manager Sean Dyche has gone for a new look in his technical area. Gone is the trademark white shirt and tie and in is the tracksuit.

Very PE teacher. Looks like he might demand ten press ups if things go wrong.

We have not seen a drop of water hit the pitch, Sean Dyche likes to leave the pitch very dry which means it's bobbly at times.

Everton play over the top and get into the corners for Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison.

Nicolás Domínguez coming into the team today, you would expect Forest to play a bit more - they will be direct.

Forest do like to build-up play and go through midfield - two contrasting sides.

For Everton after the defeat at Chelsea and the embarrassment it is an incredible game to have against Forest.

They then have Liverpool at home next week so these are the two games you have to win.

It is incredible to have a game like this at this stage in the season.

Nervous times for both Everton and Nottingham Forest as we get ready for kick-off at Goodison Park.

Everton fans are doing their best to create a big atmosphere and they will need one to lift a team that delivered such a dreadful display in the 6-0 loss at Chelsea on Monday night.

Nottingham Forest will be hoping to cash in as Everton are in this perilous position for the third season in succession.

Forest's top goalscorer Chris Wood to Sky Sports:

"We've had a good baseline of standard but we want to keep improving, keep getting better and we need to show it consistently week after week, so that's what we're after.

"All these last five games are going to be huge, there are not too many games to go and today is an important one for both clubs. We have to focus on what we can control and that's our team and how we play and how we go about things."

On points deductions and appeals: "For us players, it doesn't really impact us, we focus on what we can control and that's on the pitch, between the white lines. The rest is down to the club but as players we focus on what we can control and that's winning football matches."

On the fervent nature of Everton's home support: "It can be really good for them but it can be really bad for them at times - they can turn on them and that's what we need to try to make them do. If we focus on us, that will hopefully have an effect on them.

"I know we are going to have chances to create and score. We need to be solid in defence. We've worked hard all week and we're ready for this game, and we need to show it now."

Everton would take Ellis Simms back into the squad in a heartbeat.

Everton in general are struggling to score, you look at their total for the season and there is only Sheffield United who have scored less than them in the season.

  14. 'The reaction is important'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 21 April

Everton v Nottingham Forest (13:30 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche before the game against Forest:

"All games are big - since I've been at this club, I've realised that. Every time you put on the shirt, it matters. Every time I take the team, it matters. Of course, this end of the season, points deductions and all rest of it adds a bit more to it but every game should be a big game for my players."

On Monday's 6-0 mauling at Chelsea: "It was the worst outcome of my career - I've had worse performances actually but we got hurt on the night so that makes it the worst. The reaction is important - the player reaction, my reaction.

"We've [coaching staff] looked to change things as well - it's not just about the players, I can assure you. We've looked to change the way we're looking at the game, the way we're training, the way the meetings go, so we've operated in a different way this week to try to get the effect we want, which is a much-improved performance, a reaction and a win.

"We've got to have an overall performance, we can't target just one area. We know we've got a strength from set-pieces, we know we haven't scored enough goals from general play so we've got to improve in the area and also make sure we keep the back door locked and look after ourselves defensively so finding that balance is the key."

  16. 'Going to be difficult, we have to be ready'published at 13:20 British Summer Time 21 April

Everton v Nottingham Forest (13:30 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's very important that we keep sustaining our levels of performance and even trying to increase the standards of our players because that is crucial in these moments.

"We want every player to give their best - that requires maximum determination and focus because talent, we have that.

"It's going to be very difficult - the crowd, but especially the quality of the players of Everton, we have to be ready for it."

Along with uncertainty over a points deduction, there's been more bad news for Nottingham Forest supporters.

The club announced an increase in season ticket prices for the 2024-25 season which has been strongly criticised by fans.

An adult season ticket in Zone One of the Brian Clough Upper stand has increased by 28% while a child's season ticket has increased by up to 111%.

Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust said it "strongly opposes" the rise.

Everton v Nottingham Forest (13:30 BST)

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I am surprised Sean Dyche has left Amadou Onana out.

Onana has been a key player for Everton, but they do have a clear style under Dyche.

Dyche has made a statement leaving Onana out and he is obviously not happy with how he played [against Chelsea].
