Attacks win you games, defences win you titles.

    That's the phrase isn't it?

Arsenal kept their 15th clean sheet in 33 games this season, more than any other in the English Premier League.

    FT: Wolves 0-2 Arsenal

How are you feeling Wolves fans?

One of those games, given Gary O'Neil's long injury list, where anything would have been a bonus.

Think there were a few positives for the Wolves boss to take from a spirited display.

Wolves stay 11th in the table.

    FT: Wolves 0-2 Arsenal

What has been far from a pleasant week for Arsenal has ended on a high.

Last weekend's home defeat by Aston Villa was tough to take, with some people wondering if it would be a fatal blow to their title chances.

The Champions League exit at Bayern Munich was another blow.

But the Gunners have bounced back tonight and go a point clear of Manchester City.

    FT: Wolves 0-2 Arsenal

The celebrations from the Arsenal contingent tell us everything.

I particularly liked how David Raya, Gabriel and William Saliba had a group hug at the defensive end of the pitch as the attackers celebrated Martin Odegaard's goal.

All over! It wasn't the prettiest but it was certainly effective.

Arsenal grind out a vital win - thanks to a goal in each half from Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard - to leapfrog Manchester City.

    Top of the league!

Declan Rice and his King-sized lungs! £105m looks like a steal at the minute!

    Aaron, Abu Dhabi

As an Arsenal fan, this feels like one of the longest Saturday nights since I last watched Noel's House Party. An inglorious but nevertheless welcome way to get back to the top.

It will taste sweet. Arsenal have been pushed all the way, it's not been easy against an injury-ravaged Wolves. Declan Rice drives the team forward. Jose Sa doesn't quite cover his near post and Odegaard has the foresight to squeeze it in.

    Martin Odegaard

And they have done exactly that!

Arsenal have had to be patient but Martin Odegaard has wrapped up the win which will send them back to the top of the Premier League.

Odegaard appears on the overlap on the right and when his cross is initially blocked by a Wolves body, the Gunners skipper remains composed to tuck the rebound inside the near post.

And another one... this time Bukayo Saka has an effort blocked. Arsenal knocking on the door. They want to wrap this one up...

Another half chance for Arsenal... Declan Rice pops up on the left and crosses from the byline.

Nobody is there to tap in, though.

This would have been game, set and match.

Bukayo Saka, who has been rather quiet and the subject of Fantasy Premier League dropping chat on the desk, dances through the Wolves defence.

Here is chance to silence the doubters... he blasts it high into the stand.

Never mind Row Z. That's Row ZZ.

How much injury time do you reckon? Been a couple of lengthy stoppages and lots of subs.

The fourth official has the answer for us... six minutes.

"One-nil and you still don't sing!" comes from the home fans.

That tees up the away end.

    "One-nil to the Ars-e-nal."

If a defender had crashed through the back of a player to head the ball, like Raya did just now to catch it, then it would be a penalty. And they say keepers aren’t protected.

This is tight and tense. Arsenal just need to get over the line. By hook or by crook.

This would be a brilliant win for Arsenal if they can see this out but the longer it goes on, the more the nerves kick in. Several overly-strong challenges by Wolves leading to even more inconsistent refereeing.

    Wolves 0-1 Arsenal

David Raya shanks a clearance out for a Wolves throw-in. You can imagine the home fans' delight at that one.

But their jeers turn to groans when Tommy Doyle's cross into the Arsenal box is miscued.

There is a break of a minute or so as Mario Lemina receives treatment. It is a painful one, that's for sure.

    Wolves 0-1 Arsenal

The set-piece is knocked into the box and Gunners keeper David Raya comes to collect. But he also cleans out Mario Lemina, who lands awkwardly on his back. Ouch.

    Wolves 0-1 Arsenal

Wolves's best chance appears to be from a set-piece.

They've created little - nothing actually other than that early shot from Joao Gomes which hit the post - from open play.

The hosts win a free-kick midway in the Arsenal half - much to Martin Odegaard's dismay.

    Up go the big lads...
