  1. Wolves down to the bare bonespublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 20 April

    Wolves v Arsenal (19:30 BST)

Gary O'Neil is down to the bare bones.

Not quite into Sunday League territory of sending WhatsApp messages in the dressing room to potential ringers - but not far off.

The Wolves boss has raided the youth team to make up his squad today

"For the starting 11 I've got 10 senior players who can last the match," O'Neil said at his pre-match press conference.

"It's probably the worst situation we've been in, but the positives to come from it are that there's loads of young players involved.

"And the fact we're on 43 points already. We're not on 27 fighting for our lives."

Blimey. Wesley Okuduwa is younger than Vampire Weekend's eponymous debut album. Ouch.

I know I am but what about you lot out there.

Wesley Okoduwa is on the Wolves bench tonight. He was born on 12 May 2008.

    He turns 16 next month.

If he comes on he will be the youngest player in Wolves' history.

Wolves had to do some smart negotiating with Wesley Okoduwa's school, by the way.

The 15-year-old defender was apparently brought out of a science lesson to train with the first team earlier this week.

    Sure he didn't mind.

We might see later if there was some chemistry with the first-team players...

  5. Team news - Wolves make four changes; Kiwior in for Arsenalpublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 20 April

    Wolves v Arsenal (19:30 BST)

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil is dealing with a lengthy injury list and has made four changes following Saturday's 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia and Nelson Semedo are out of the squad, while Mario Lemina drops to the bench.

Young winger Tawanda Chirewa makes his first league start with Hugo Bueno, Boubacar Traore and Hwang Hee-Chan also coming in.

O'Neil has named 15-year-old Wesley Okoduwa on a very youthful looking bench.

Wolves XI: Sa, S Bueno, Kilman, H Bueno, Toti, Traore, J Gomes, Doherty, Hwang, Doyle, Chirewa.

Subs: Bentley, Ait-Nouri, Lemina, Sarabia, Holman, Barnett, Ojinnaka, Okoduwa, Fraser.

Arsenal fell to a 2-0 loss when hosting Aston Villa in their last Premier League outing on Sunday and Mikel Arteta makes just one change.

Jakub Kiwior starts a game for the first time since 31 March as he is preferred to Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been left out as a precaution after picking up a knock at Bayern Munich.

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Odegaard, Rice, Havertz, Saka, Jesus, Trossard.

Subs: Ramsdale, Partey, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Nketiah, Jorginho, Vieira, Nelson, Zinchenko.

  8. Must-win for Arsenal?published at 18:26 British Summer Time 20 April

    Wolves v Arsenal (19:30 BST)

Arsenal have only had one run of four games without a win in all competitions this season.

Tonight they are aiming to end a three-match streak without a victory and return to the top of the Premier League.

If they don't manage it, all the old accusations of 'bottling it' will be raised again.

I am not sure that would be fair given how well Arsenal have played this season.

But now is the time when the pressure is on.

    They have to respond.

  9. Cunha blow for Wolvespublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 20 April

Matheus Cunha's latest injury is a big blow to Wolves.

The Brazil attacker is out again after only just returning from a hamstring issue, having scored twice in the 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest last weekend.

It took him to double figures for Premier League goals.

Cunha has been involved in nine goals in his last nine league games, scoring six and assisting three.

  10. Early team newspublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 20 April

    Wolves v Arsenal (19:30 BST)

The teamsheets have been scribbled out and signed off by Gary O'Neil and Mikel Arteta, they've been hand-delivered to the referee.

But before we get to find out who's down - in about 10 minutes - here is what we already know...

Wolves' top scorer Matheus Cunha is absent because of a calf problem and Nelson Semedo is sidelined by a muscle issue.

Craig Dawson is out following groin surgery, while Rayan Ait-Nouri is doubtful and Hwang Hee-chan won't be able to play more than 45 minutes, according to head coach Gary O'Neil.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reported no new injury concerns.

This game comes too soon for long-term absentee Jurrien Timber, who did his ACL in the opening Premier League game of the season.

  11. Welcome to Wolvespublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 20 April

    Wolves v Arsenal (19:30 BST)

    Hello people!

While we can't yet say April has turned out to be a mensis horribilis for Arsenal, it could well prove to be the case.

Especially if the Gunners don't beat Wolves and keep the heat turned high on Manchester City.

Out of the Champions League, yes. But they're still in the thick of the Premier League title race.

    For now...

April. The fourth month of the Gregorian calendar.

One which, in the Northern Hemisphere, is supposed to bring lighter days and brighter moods.

    The joys of spring.

Unless, it seems, you're warmed by Wolves and associated with Arsenal...
