I am just hearing that Nico Rosberg won't have any running this afternoon. He is out of the session.
Now Nico Rosberg is clambering out of his Mercedes. He takes off his helmet and stares at the monitors with a grumpy look on his face. He does not look a happy chap at all.

They are just starting to take the engine cover off Nico Rosberg's car, so it may not all be rosey. We wait and see what is up with Rosberg's vehicle.
And still we wait for Nico Rosberg...

Interesting. We are now seeing two different teams struggling to get a lap time out of the soft tyre. It is becoming very clear that the medium tyre is the best tyre to be on this weekend.
Lewis Hamilton crosses the line to go quickest of all and a second quicker than Sebastian Vettel. Interestingly his time - 1:31.660 - isn't quicker than the time he set on the medium tyre in FP1.
Sebastian Vettel's switch to yellow boots signals the start of the qualifying runs and he kicks things off with a 1:32.570. That's just a second quicker than the time Lewis Hamilton set on mediums earlier in the session.
Speaking of Hamilton, he is back on the circuit now with the soft compound tyres on. Let's see what he can do.
Pascal Wehrlein pits, but Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel ensure the fans are not left staring at an empty track as they promptly head back out.
Vettel has switched compounds, swapping mediums for softs. He's the first of the front runners to do so.
Everyone is back in the pits, apart from Pascal Wehrlein.
Yellow flags at Sector 3, where a marshal is umming and ahhing about trying to nip onto the track to nab a bit of debris, presumably from Daniil Kvyat's Toro Rosso after that earlier spin.
How would you punish Hamilton and Rosberg?
Twenty minutes in and the top 10 looks like this:
1) Hamilton 2) Ricciardo 3) Verstappen 4) Raikkonen 5) Vettel 6) Hulkenberg 7) Perez 8) Bottas 9) Alonso 10) Sainz
It looks like that oil leak has been sorted on Nico Rosberg's Mercedes because he is getting strapped into the car.
One of the Mercedes has joined the action. It is Lewis Hamilton and he promptly takes his place at the top of the timesheet after a 1:33.505, a touch under two tenths quicker than Daniel Ricciardo.
Meanwhile, the man he swapped seats with - Daniil Kvyat - spins at Club Corner.
The Red Bulls appear for the first time this afternoon and Max Verstappen is swiftly on a quick lap.
There's plenty of wind swirling around Silverstone at the moment and Verstappen's Red Bull wobbles at Copse. Sparks kick up as he goes over the kerbs but it doesn't stop him from going quickest with 1:33.894.

I've just grabbed a word from Paddy Lowe at Mercedes and he says there's a small leak under Nico Rosberg's car. It shouldn't be long before he is able to head out.
