Daniel Ricciardo into third and Vettel can't improve - in fact, they set the same time.
As the Aussie crossed the line first, he gets the place while Vettel starts fourth.
Nico Rosberg is out of reach surely - who gets second?
Here comes Max - he crosses the line to start his last lap and Valterri Bottas goes to overtake him into Turn One!
He was already angry with the Finn...
Close! As they were leaving the pits, Sebastian Vettel nearly collected one of the Williams.
Right, let's get to it...
It's going to be ninth on the grid at best for Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen has the chance to leapfrog him.
The time to beat? 2.01.954. Verstappen should be able to manage that.
What happened to Hamilton in qualifying? Fastest in all three practice sessions, he went straight on twice before smashing up his car.
For the actual accident, he clipped the wall at the right-hander at Turn 11 and then went straight across to the opposite side of the track.
Hamilton gets out of his car after hitting the wall through the castle section of the track.
The suspension of Mercedes is damaged. There are two minutes and five seconds still remaining.
And just as Hamilton was crashing, Nico Rosberg went fastest with a 1.42.758 to surely secure pole.
Lewis Hamilton's quali is over! And the red flag is out.
Felipe Massa is finally out and clocks 1.44.483 to go fourth.
Max Verstappen has had a bit of moan about Valtteri Bottas getting in his way.
Top eight: PER, VET, RAI, KVY, RIC, BOT, ROS, HAM
No laps from Verstappen and Massa.
Lewis Hamilton goes straight on again at Turn 15!
He's making it hard for himself...
Sergio Perez then blows Vettel away with a 1.43.615.
What a waste for team-mate Nico Hulkenberg though.
Hamilton on track now...
Here comes Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo and it's a 1.45.2 but Sebastian Vettel immediately clocks a 1.44.260.
Lewis Hamilton would have ended up 12th and missed out on all the fun if he hadn't completed that last lap at the conclusion of Q2.
Cutting it fine, Lewis.
However, he has flat-spotted the tyres he'll be starting the race on, unless the FIA say they are not fit enough to use tomorrow.
Time for the top-10 shootout...

BBC Radio 5 live commentator
"I thought McLaren would be closer to Q3 than they were. Honda brought a new turbo to Montreal and both drivers seemed happy with that. Little mistakes cost the drivers."

Chris Lord: Hamilton's tyres won't be the best to start on now, two mistakes in one session?
Amit Mandalia: Remember that Hamilton will have to start the race on that flat-spotted set of tyres
Hamilton was just over a second slower than Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in Q2, but still half a second up on third-placed Sergio Perez.
Joining them in the top-10 shootout are Ricciardo who was fourth, Verstappen fifth, Vettel sixth, Bottas seventh, Raikkonen eighth, Kvyat ninth and Massa 10th.
