Can Button get out of trouble? Not looking good...
As it stands both Manors, both Renaults, Button and Marcus Ericsson are going out...

"The problem Jenson Button has is he is right behind Romain Grosjean. He can't pass him so they'll have to go at the same pace."
Three minutes left of Q1...
Can Kimi get himself out of danger? Yes, a 1.44.936 to go seventh.
These are the men currently below the Q2 cut-off point:
Magnussen
Haryanto
Wehrlein
Grosjean
Button
Raikkonen
Jenson Button has just gone straight on and so far hasn't got anywhere near a time that will get him into Q2.
Sebastian Vettel now out on track, finally.

"It's a delicate balance with the brakes because you have to keep them cool. But if you open up the brake ducts too much to keep them cool you're increasing the aerodynamic drag."
Superb from Nico Rosberg - the first man into the 1.43s with a 1.43.685, over half a second faster than Hamilton.
Romain Grosjean is another driver going off the line, telling the Haas team "we've got to sort out the brakes, guys. I can't do anything."
Lewis Hamilton goes wide at Turn 15 and has to do a three-point turn to get going again.
Executed beautifully too.
No damage to the Mercedes though.
Valtteri Bottas is third behind the Mercedes so doesn't appear to have been too hampered by missing FP3.
The Williams driver is over a second behind the Mercs.

"I'm just getting a little bit of news that Sebastian Vettel might have a bit of a problem. He may have a problem with his ECU - a part of his power unit."
Vettel has not emerged from the pits yet...
Valtteri Bottas, whose FP3 was ruined by that rogue drain cover, is also straight out of the pits.
Sergio Perez has had to have his gearbox replaced after his crash at the end of FP3 and will take a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's race.
Lewis Hamilton goes round in 1.44.259 but Nico Rosberg goes even quicker with a 1.44.136 - the fastest lap we've seen so far in Baku.
Both Mercedes immediately on track with Nico Rosberg following Lewis Hamilton. Surely pole will go to one of those two.
Go, go, go!
A reminder for anyone new to F1 how this is going to work:
Q1 lasts for 18 minutes and at the end of that session the six slowest drivers will be eliminated.
After a short break, the remaining 16 drivers contest Q2 over 15 minutes and again the six slowest drivers in that session are eliminated.
Q3 is a top-10 shootout over 12 minutes to decide which driver claims pole.

"If we look at the timing sheets you have to say this circuit favours Lewis Hamilton. He's been closely followed by Nico Rosberg. The evidence so far is that it helps if you have a Mercedes engine - it has more power than any other engine. Ferrari may have kept their powder dry this morning and there could be more to come."
If you haven't followed any of practice, you might not know this is the second-longest circuit on the F1 calendar, behind the majesty of Spa in Belgium.
The architecture of Baku provides a stunning backdrop.
