Red Bull team principal Christian Horner wants stewards to check that Nico Rosberg lifted for double-waved yellow flags.

Daniel Ricciardo had to abort his final lap, and Horner told Sky Sports: "What I need to check is that Rosberg was behind Daniel, and managed to get a purple middle sector."

When told Rosberg lifted for the yellows, Horner added: “With that sort of laptime? That’s down to the stewards to decide."

Mixed opinions on Twitter as to whether Nico Rosberg should be on pole. Replays show he did lift through the yellow flag. It didn't look by much, but he did lift. Seems unlikely he will be investigated.

Lewis Hamilton is putting on a brave face as he stands with Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo to pose for photos. He smiles and waves to the crowd, but I'd bet inside he is fuming.

Gutting for Lewis Hamilton! He was half a second quicker than everyone else in the first sector but Fernando Alonso's spin scuppered Lewis Hamilton's lap as he had to slow right down. Alonso swiftly rejoined and that enabled Rosberg to complete his lap and take pole by a tenth of a second.
