Jeremiah Kariuki: Verstappen could be paying for having over used his tyres. Vettel catching up. Hunter being hunted. No longer chasing Rosberg!

Emeka Nwume: Lewis is taking this all the way to Brazil.

There's another hungry Ferrari looking for its dinner as Sebastian Vettel closes in on Max Verstappen at Turn One. The Red Bull locks up and runs wide and over the grass. He rejoins ahead of the Ferrari.

"He has to let me go, he has to let me go," demands Vettel.

Max Verstappen is approaching traffic in the shape of Esteban Ocon. The Manor gets out of the way of the Red Bull but here comes Sebastian Vettel. We know his feelings about traffic but, luckily for Vettel, Ocon stays out of the way. Vettel is now 0.9s behind Verstappen.

Maybe I'm wishing too much for an exciting climax, but Formula 1 owes it to these fans to go and produce an exciting show.

When you have a race like today with Mercedes dominating, you have to say Hamilton has just driven sublimely this afternoon and really is taking this championship battle all the way down to the line.

We are hoping for a dramatic finale.

Max Verstappen's medium compound tyres have done 49 laps. Sebastian Vettel's have done 20 laps less and Daniel Ricciardo on the soft compound has only done 11 laps on those tyres.

Vettel is closing and closing behind Verstappen. Things are beginning to concertina up - is there time for a nice little battle?

  10. Lap 63/71published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

Max Verstappen faces a real fight to hold onto third. He's 3.3s ahead of Sebastian Vettel but the Ferrari has the fresher tyres on and Vettel is three tenths quicker on the latest lap.

"I see him," he says nervously as his race engineer feeds him some information about Vettel.

Abiona Olasunkanmi: I just wish Nico should crash or comes 4th

    Raphael Muindi: Go Rosberg.

Kristine Kirby: I think Hamilton has the car turned down, he has nightmares of Malaysia in his head, and will turn it up if needed but otherwise, no.

  12. Lap 62/71published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

Lewis Hamilton is still nice and comfortable out in front. He's 7.7 seconds clear of Nico Rosberg. Max Verstappen is third, with 3.3s between himself and Rosberg.

"You want to dance? Let's dance."

That's what I imagine Jenson Button thinks as he glides past Jolyon Palmer with the help of DRS to reclaim 12th.

What is interesting, partly because of temperature and partly because it is so dirty and mucky, is what is playing out in the race is exactly what played out on Friday - in terms of whose pace is quick on the medium tyre and who isn't.

I slightly wish Pirelli had brought their ultra-soft tyre. I think that would have mixed it up a bit.

    The battle for sixth

Kimi Raikkonen looks to be our best bet of providing a bit of excitement imminently. He's sizing up a move on Nico Hulkenberg, with the gap 0.8s between the two.

  16. Lap 59/71published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

Barring any late drama, this has been a pretty forgettable race.

Hamilton is doing everything absolutely perfectly and by the book. He has extended his lead over Nico Rosberg and is lapping 3/10ths of a second quicker than his team-mate.
