Sebastian Vettel finishes fastest in the first part of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Paul di Resta is unlikely to get through to Q2 but he is improving lap by lap. His best time is just a tenth of a second slower than Pascal Wehrlein's.

Those Ferraris have got incredible pace. There was a bit of speculation following the British Grand Prix that they may well have focused more on qualifying than the race.
Whatever it is, they have looked very impressive.
The top nine drivers are in the pits are switching focus to Q2, leaving the remaining 11 drivers to battle it out to try and avoid an early cut.
The five in trouble at the moment are:
16) Stroll 17) Perez 18) Ericsson 19) Wehrlein 20) Di Resta.

This is a hugely important weekend for Jolyon Palmer.
He crashed twice yesterday and if he can get in Q3 for the second time this season, it would be a huge moment for him.
It's been a much better day for Jolyon Palmer. With four minutes left of the session he is currently P10 with his best time a 1:19.914.
So far so good for the McLarens. Fernando Alonso is currently seventh quickest, 1.1s off Sebastian Vettel's time, while Stoffel Vandoorne is P8, a tenth down on his team-mate.
Sebastian Vettel goes back to the top of the order as he does a 1:17.244 on the super-softs, a tenth quicker than Kimi Raikkonen and two tenths clear of Lewis Hamilton.
Daniel Ricciardo, who had reliability issues in final practice, goes fourth quickest with 1:17.924 but he's informed by his race engineer that his fellow drivers improve on their second lap on the super-softs, so round goes Ricciardo again.

How safe is it to put a driver straight into qualifying? He's not driven the car this year and this is where the lack of testing has gone to the extreme.

Hamilton has gone much better. He's pipped his arch rival, Sebastian Vettel, by 1/10 of a second.
That's a huge step forward for Mercedes from where they were this morning.
Paul di Resta is growing in confidence as he improves with a 1:21.218, 1.7s down on fellow Williams driver Lance Stroll.
Better from Lewis Hamilton. Much better. He leaps up into P2 and is within half a second of Kimi Raikkonen.
Now the Ferraris take over at the top as Sebastian Vettel does a 1:17.676 before Kimi Raikkonen goes even quicker with a 1:17.382. That's half a second quicker than Lewis Hamilton's time...

He's got to learn about the car, learn about the track but you wouldn't expect him to progress from qualifying.
He just needs to get that car on the grid and hopefully finish the race tomorrow.
Lewis Hamilton gets the first time on the board with a 1:17.905 on the super-softs.
Paul di Resta, meanwhile, is up and running with a 1:22.289. He's bottom of the timesheet as things stand, but it's all about getting used to driving that Williams today.

You'd expect Lewis Hamilton to finish better than 5th. He will have been working hard with the team and trying to work out how they can improve.
There's no doubt about it though, Mercedes have been on the back foot.
Lewis Hamilton is first out on track and it's not long before Paul di Resta takes the Williams out for the first time, slow and steady as he gets a feel for it.
