We haven't mentioned Lance Stroll today, and he has just gone a bit wide. He is down in 17th and will be hoping for more later on this weekend. Felipe Massa, in his last ever Formula 1 weekend, probably, is in ninth.

Romain Grosjean, in his Haas, has just gone into the wall. He is heading back into the pits. There is damage to the car, but not what looks to be a substantial amount and he seems OK as well.

So, Sebastian Vettel is the quickest today, which is just another reminder of what drama we could have been having this weekend in the final race of the season.

But the German and Ferrari's year were ruined with a three-race spell in Asia where Vettel had to retire in both Singapore and Japan, either side of only coming fourth in Malaysia.

Eric Timperton‏: Daniel Ricciardo, final grade - B. Reliability issues again crept in, but he has struggled to out qualify his team mate towards the latter stages, a sensational driver and brilliant late braker, with the right car he can challenge next year.

Phil Slocombe: There's no doubt that Max has great potential but he is still a bit wild and needs to mature into a complete driver. Lewis still a class above the rest.
