Sergio Perez came in, he had that collision with Carlos Sainz and they are taking off the hypersofts and put on a set of supersofts. He has got on the podium here before, so let's see what he can do.

A great start from Fernando Alonso from 14th to 11th, but Charles Leclerc is so impressive in only his seventh race, and he is 10th in a points scoring position.
Lap 11/70
Lewis Hamilton complaining to the Mercedes garage about a power dropout. Sergio Perez is into the pits and on to supersoft tyres, which can do around 50 laps. Is he going to try to do 60 and get to the end on them? He needs to make up ground somehow after that collision with Carlos Sainz.
Lap 9/70
Charles Leclerc having a right old tussle with Fernando Alonso for 10th at the moment. Leclerc showing no signs of buckling. Vettel's lead over Bottas is now 2.6 seconds.
"That should have been a black flag for Sainz."
Jeremiah Kariuki: That was scary for both Stroll and Hartley. One car flying and nose landing on the other. The Halo giving some extra protection there.
Joe: Stroll is clearly incapable of racing at this level. Pathetic that Williams sold him a seat.
Lap 7/70
Sebastian Vettel building up a lead of around 1.7 seconds here, from Valtteri Bottas. The race investigators are looking into that collision between Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz.

Sergio Perez got a big hit from Carlos Sainz, it looked like a racing incident. Perez was ahead, but it was 50-50 in my opinion.

Williams had a bad day yesterday and speaking to their mechanics they are trying to come to races and be optimistic but this will just compound what is happening to their team. This is heartbreaking for their fans.
Lap 5/70
Sebastian Vettel gets an excellent restart, but Sergio Perez has a hairy moment, making contact with Carlos Sainz and ending up on the grass. He recovers, but the Force India man loses position.
Lap 4/70
The end of the safety car, and we're back in full racing mode.
Lance Stroll: "I had a puncture (before the accident)."
Brendon Hartley: "I'm fine, he just ran me out of road."

Big accident. Hartley launched into the air, it is very tight around turn five. Stroll must have had a great start, but he gave Hartley a squeeze, he was sandwiched between Stroll's Williams and the wall and that is a big contact.
It was a nasty incident. Stroll was too quick through the right-hander and that pitched Brendon Hartley into the wall.
What a disaster. Brendon Hartley is under a lot of pressure for his seat.
The replays of that incident are not doing Lance Stroll any favours. The Canadian culpable there, I would say. Safety car is still running.

Lap 2/70
Thank goodness, Hartley and Stroll are both OK, after what looked a nasty one. Hartley walks away from the damage, and is standing at trackside, shaking his head.
Oh my word! First lap drama, as Brendon Hartley crashes into Lance Stroll, and both drivers are off into the wall. Stroll, the home hope, is out before the first lap is even done.
Verstappen wheel to wheel with Bottas at Turn One - the Finn just hangs on. Great start...
Ferrari haven't won in Montreal since Michael Schumacher took victory in 2004. Can they break Lewis Hamilton's dominance?
