Sebastian Vettel has led from pole - remember that Ferrari have not won in Canada since Michael Schumacher in 2004. Vettel, who started the day 14 points behind Lewis Hamilton in the title race, is looking very good for his first win in five races.

Sam: I'm not sure if this Canada GP is any more exciting than Monaco with the procession driving.

Jeremiah Kariuki‏: Either Hamilton or Mercedes is making bad calls. The strategy for early pit stops seems to have backfired and may drop him down further. His mood possibly also not helping it.

Alix‏: This race is nearly as boring and processional as Monaco, fix these tyres! Fix these boring races!

Craig: What has happened to Mercedes since that crazy pace in Australia qualifying?! Anyone care to tell them they can stop sandbagging now?

Liam Donoghue‏: Boring Procession again. Nobody can run constantly within 1s to get DRS. Maybe it should be 2s... At least then it could be used to close and then pass. Or maybe we should just stop watching boring processions..
