Gareth Jones: Good afternoon race fans, because let's face it, qualifying at Monaco IS the race.
Daniel Ricciardo was in trouble, but not now as he's fifth.
One lap, all or bust for Vettel.
Vettel 17th. This would be an absolute disastrous day for Ferrari.
Hamilton to the top, that is a Mercedes one-two. But all the news is about Vettel. He's in the bottom five with two minutes to go.
Vettel dropping down. Now 14th. This could be our story here!
Sebastian Vettel is 0.7 seconds off Bottas' first time so may have been held up. The German will have to go again as he is only 10th, but five minutes left so loads of time to get yourself out of trouble.
Both Mercedes cars improve. Bottas goes to the top, Hamilton third with Verstappen in the middle.
The bottom five with seven minutes to go are Hulkenberg, Perez, Stroll, Kubica, Russell.
Bottas and Hamilton are fourth and fifth after their first attempts, still seven minutes left.

Kevin Magnussen impresses, he is second so far, only 0.268 behind Max Verstappen.
Giovinazzi is under investigation for holding up Hulkenberg. Giovinazzi currently 13th, Hulkenberg 15th.
