    I think that was [Verstappen's] best chance there - that was a great chance to send it past Vettel, but he covers the inside line and the Dutchman can't quite make it.

    This is a fine display of defending from Sebastian Vettel. There is a half chance for Verstappen down the inside, not anymore, the Dutchman weaves left, weaves right, but still no joy. An epic battle for third. Verstappen is just so, so good to watch.

    • Max Verstappen, who started P2, makes a poor start and is overtaken by both Mercedes, but fights his way up to fourth again.
    • Lewis Hamilton has problems - he pits for a new front wing, scuppering his race strategy.
    • Lando Norris makes a great start, getting up to fourth, but following pit stops drops down to sixth.
    • Ferrari report radio problems as Vettel comes in for a pitstop but it comes as a surprise to the mechanics.

    Leclerc's lead is 3.8 seconds over Bottas, who is 2.5 seconds ahead of Vettel and he is 1.0 seconds clear of Verstappen.

    Still, less than eight seconds between the top four. They all may well be fancying this.

    Lewis Hamilton is 13 seconds off Max Verstappen, but write off the world champion at your peril.
