    Lap 28/55

Hamilton returns to the track with a 6.5 second lead over Charles Leclerc, who is ahead of Max Verstappen, and he is sounding unhappy over team radio. But Hamilton's tyres are much fresher than Leclerc so expect that to increase very quickly.

    Lap 27/55

"Massive lag out of corners, something is not correct."

    Lap 27/55

Hamilton, fed up of having a 30-second lead, comes in for a tyre change. Just over three seconds in the pits, not as lively as Red Bull's but still enough to guarantee a massive lead for Hamilton when he returns.

  6. Verstappen pits for hard tyrespublished at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Lap 26/55

    Jolyon Palmer

Pit stop necessary and the hard tyre the sensible option. He will go and attack Leclerc now.

    Your views on DRS #bbcf1

Anastaasia Cassar: All in favour of next year having no DRS say "Yea"!! I think we should petition for no DRS, it's much better without it. Drivers using their skills like it was.

  8. Postpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    Lap 26/55

Max Verstappen is in for the hards. Flawless as always from the Red Bull mechanics.

That gives Hamilton, yet to stop, an incredible on-track lead of 30 seconds. THIRTY!

The stewards have noted that coming together between Robert Kubica and Antonio Giovinazzi. When we know, you'll know.

    Hamilton leads from Verstappen #bbcf1

Dennis Ethan: This is a boring race, nothing has sparkled so far.

Matthew Hibbert: DRS should be like reviews in cricket. Three uses per race.

Well, at least it looks good Dennis.

Robert Kubica's F1 career nearly ended there and then. Antonio Giovinazzi turns in on him, bits fly off both the Williams and the Alfa Romeo. Both still in the race, for now. That's for 15th on the track.
