Jezz: This GP is so very 2020!
Sho: Such bad luck for Perez. What a race he's driven and only 3 laps to go and that happens. He's gonna be devastated.
James Stevenson: Well we got there in the end. Only took three hours!
Max Verstappen finished second and Alex Albon takes third after Sergio Perez's late issue ended his race.

Perez out of Bahrain GP
Rachel T: F1 is so cruel. All that effort, all weekend and Racing Point end up with absolutely nothing.
AGL: Perez has driven an amazing race today and deserved that podium. What a dreadful way to end that race, I hope people remember that he was genuinely the 3rd best driver today.
Thomas Curryer: You’ve got to feel for Perez. Proving his worth at the back end of this season, without a drive for next season.....and now without a drive for the rest of the race.
Norris: "There is a guy running across the track. He's the bravest guy I have ever seen."
McLaren: "Is he brave or stupid?"
Lap 56/57
Replays show a very scary moment as a marshal runs across the track in front of an approaching Lando Norris to put out the fire in the back of Perez's car.
Norris is alert to the danger, but something you do not want to see.

What a shame for Sergio Perez - he had driven a brilliant race in third. He had it job done and the car gives up on him just a few laps before the end.

Perez out of race with two laps to go
F1 Know: Poor Perez.
Nulla Pax: No no Checo :(
Molesworth1: Poor old Perez. Guy can't catch a break.
Lap 55/57
Those flames are quickly extinguished by waiting marshals but what a terrible day for Racing Point, both cars out. So, so unfortunate for Perez.
The safety car is out and it looks like the race will end behind it.

Lap 55/57
There's smoke coming out of the rear of Sergio Perez's car!
He was cruising to third but something has gone wrong and he's having to pull over with flames starting to come out of the back of his car.
Lap 53/57
Pierre Gasly wants ALL the power - so he says on the radio. He's got Daniel Ricciardo closing in on him.

It was a good move from Sainz, but Gasly didn't have any grip and it was as easy as he said it was going to be.
