Max Verstappen gets into the 1:16s!! That is properly quick - seven tenths quicker than Hamilton.

John Petrie: Norris schooling Riccardo. Don't think that was the plan.
2nd Lesmo: Ocon and Alonso dead equal in Q1, nice.
Valtteri Bottas beats Lewis Hamilton by two tenths. It's a 1:17.400 from the Finn.
Verstappen is even quicker behind. It's game on in Barcelona.
It seems the main contenders on the soft tyres here so we should be able to get a proper comparison of their pace.
Nine cars are on track. George Russell is among those biding their time in the garage.

Yuki Tsunoda is getting the reputation as the shouty sweary man - which is really that good four races into your Formula 1 career. We all know he is promising, but we're not talking about Formula 2 champion coming into F1 here, he's got a lot to prove and he can't just start demanding things immediately, he's got to work hard for it and be patient.
Maybe that great debut he had in Bahrain set his expectations a bit too high for how things should be. He needs to take a step back and keep a calmer head.
Hamilton and Bottas are both quickly out of the garage at the start of this second qualifying session.
We go again.
Here are your full results from Q1.

Matthew Murnaghan: Lando Norris surprised us there! Will he get a maiden Pole?
Cactus Jack: Lando fastest nice!
Have we bigged up the Hamilton v Verstappen battle too much? Or are they just biding their time?

It's so unbelievably tight. If Yuki Tsunoda found three tenths, he would've gone from 16th to knocking on the door of the top five here. Super close but... fine margins, and we're going to see that all the way through this qualifying session. Tiny errors make a huge difference.
At the top is was Lando Norris who stole the show with a 1:17.821.
Bottas was second, Leclerc third and Verstappen fourth. Hamilton ended down in ninth.
Can Norris repeat that in Q3?
"I can't xxxx with this car!!"

Yuki Tusnoda has not got the most out of that but he's ended the session three and a half tenths away from team-mate Pierre Gasly... who is in third. Bonkers!
Tsunoda is not happy. The beep machine gets its first use. His team-mate Pierre Gasly finished up in fifth.
Yuki Tsunoda, Kimi Raikkonen, Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi and Nikita Mazepin are out!

Lando Norris fastest! Wow! In the McLaren!!
NORRIS GOES TOP! Rapid.
Stroll saves himself by going seventh. Giovinazzi looks to be safe too - beating Kimi.
Over to Lando Norris now...
Raikkonen can only manage 15th. I don't think that'll be enough.
