Esteban Ocon has effectively driven Sebastian Vettel off the track, on the straight. Understandably, Vettel is not very happy about it.
"[Ocon] might as well take himself off!"
A superb effort from Daniel Ricciardo so far today. He jumped Max Verstappen on the first lap and has not done anything wrong since.
The sprint race does, deservedly, have its critics but it has given us a race situation we wouldn't have had if it had been a normal qualifying weekend.
Remember, Valtteri Bottas had qualified first on Friday, with Lewis Hamilton second - with that being the front two at the beginning of the sprint.
Norris: "I'm losing a lot of power trying to do this."
Engineer: "Understood. Everyone is the same on the mediums. Hamilton has to go long. Ideally plan A, but with plan B target lap."

James Stevenson: As much as I love Lando he’s spoiling the party here. If Lewis can get ahead he can start chasing down Max and the battle we all want to see on the race track.
Andrew Priestley: More evidence that allowing teams a free tyre choice to start the race on makes for a much more interesting and varied race. It’s time they introduced that rule to all race weekends, not just those with a Sprint Race event.

Lando Norris has just been done for track limits again - that's consecutive laps now.
Valtteri Bottas, like Lewis Hamilton on the hard tyres, is now 10th as he's too quick for Nicholas Latifi.

Hamilton took a really wide line into the final corner to try and reduce the effect of the dirty air, which gave him a great slingshot through, but it was a great defence by Norris.
Valtteri Bottas is already hunting out the points, despite being relegated to 20th after a power unit change. He has already secured three points for winning yesterday's sprint and could be in for another haul today.
He's 11th, with Nicholas Latifi in his sights.

Norris wide at (what was) Parabolica and that gives Hamilton a chance to regain that position of third that he had briefly on the first lap.
Briton v Briton and Norris, with some top-notch defending, holds on to third. Great, clean racing. You love to see it.

If you started on the medium tyres, it looks like you want to come in around lap 17 to 25.
"Hamilton is struggling when he gets close, we're getting good gaps to the rest of the field, keep this up."
The Ferrari fans are getting some great racing involving their guys. But, after an epic battle, Sergio Perez passes Carlos Sainz.

That Antonio Giovinazzi incident reminds me a bit of the Sebastian Vettel incident at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2019, were Vettel cut across the track and picked up a five-second penalty.
It's an early call, but this is already looking like being a classic.
Lewis Hamilton is the only one on the hards in the top seven (everyone else is on the mediums) so everyone will be pitting before he does.

Daniel Ricciardo is gunning for this win. This isn't just about Verstappen versus Hamilton.
McLaren's fight is to win this grand prix.
He had gone off the track and is classed as an unsafe rejoin and Giovinazzi's day is getting worse and worse. Bad news for the home fans.
