Carlos Sainz has done really well to stay this close to the back of Max Verstappen for this length of time. Sainz is just hoping for any little error.

Friday was a dry day of running and Lewis Hamilton absolutely hated the car and it was terrible. Saturday it felt a lot better because it was raining basically. All of a sudden he is happy again.
Those purple stopwatches, like gold coins in Super Mario, have enabled Carlos Sainz to chop the gap to Max Verstappen to 0.633secs.
Fastest lap is awarded to Carlos Sainz but that Red Bull is not an easy beast to hunt down.

This is great pace that we are seeing from Sainz. He has come alive with this new hard tyre which is a little bit younger than Verstappen's but it's not a significant amount.
The fans have leaned forward slightly in excitement. Are they going to be treated to a thrilling finale between Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz? No DRS to give the Ferrari a boost.

After a slight wobble a few moments ago, Charles Leclerc collects his Esteban Ocon bonus. Fifth spot for the Ferrari driver after starting 19th on the grid.
Don't panic, Carlos, will be the message from Ferrari to their Spanish driver. Max Verstappen is 0.868s ahead but Sainz is trying to cut down the Red Bull as hard as he can.

Max Verstappen is under pressure for the lead in the Canadian Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz is looking for his maiden F1 victory. Many have done it here before including Lewis Hamilton in 2007. Sainz wants to be the latest to be added to the list.
Too late. The Ferrari cleanly sweeps the Alpine aside. Charles Leclerc in now in sixth.
