Lap 2/52
Can Lando Norris pull away from that rapid Red Bull? Charles Leclerc is in fourth, George Russell is fifth and Carlos Sainz is running in sixth.
Lap 1/52
Phenomenal start from the McLaren driver! Oscar Piastri also pulled out wide to battle for position at the start and the Australian is getting his elbows out on Max Verstappen too.
Lando Norris is still leading this race to the delight of the crowd. Lewis Hamilton has dropped down from seventh to eight.
Lap 1/52
Lando Norris challenges Max Verstappen from lights out and goes through on the Red Bull driver! Norris leads the British Grand Prix.
Silverstone victory is that way.

McLaren boss Zak Brown said to Rosanna on the grid walk: "It's not going to be easy but I think it's achievable, this is a genuine pace, we had really good race pace on Friday and conditions are cooling down, it's not going to easy but let's see what happens. The fans have been amazing and it's great to see Lando and Oscar up at the front."
Red Bull are way ahead in the constructors' title fight but Mercedes and Aston Martin are in their own battle for second place, with just three points separating the two teams.
If Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri stay high up the field and bring home a decent haul of points for McLaren then Alpine might have to hand over their fifth spot in the standings at the end of the day.
How will the drivers' championship look after 52 laps of racing at Silverstone?
Lando Norris moved into the top 10 after his positive weekend in Austria and now has the chance to add to his tally and potentially lift himself up a place in the standings, if Esteban Ocon finishes outside the points today.
Top five drivers are starting on the medium tyres, George Russell in sixth has gone for the soft rubber.

I've never seen Silverstone this busy. It just goes to show how popular Formula 1 is right now.
Obviously, we've had the very popular television show that's kind of boosted it's rankings but the superheroes Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris everybody getting on board and this sport has just grown so much over the last decade.
Whether you choose to call the corners by their full names, or keep it simple with just numbers, Silverstone is a favourite circuit for Formula 1 drivers and the victory they all want to add to their CVs.
The lap record at the home of motorsport is held by Red Bull's Max Verstappen, with a 1:27.097 clocked in 2020.

Lewis Hamilton's father Anthony has some words before the race, he said to Rosanna: "It is special for me because I keep telling everyone that I remember the days we couldn't even get in the front gate and here we are today on the grid."
He added: "It's always the case that Lewis finds two tenths with the crowd here so we expecting to have a good race and a podium is what we are looking for."
Damian Lewis has just told Sky Sports how nervous he was to sing the national anthem at Silverstone and said he told family and friends not to say to the world 'queen' to him in the build-up to grand prix.
Pole sitter Max Verstappen speaking to Sky Sports: "Let's see what the weather will do - there is a bit of rain around. I think from our side it is all about getting a clean lap one and doing our own race.
"[Lando] is going to try for sure but I think we will have the quicker car."

Andrew: Tyre wear, as ever, will be high and the difference-maker at Silverstone. I wonder if many teams favouring a one-stop strategy this afternoon will have to switch to a two-stop mid-race.
Mark: Will the hot temperature at Silverstone cause tyre troubles for a few teams?

Air temperature 22.3C and track 30.3C. Wind from the south west, gusts recently ~20mph. Heavy showers are approaching/passing-by from the south west, but they currently look likely to just miss the circuit, to the west. FIA official risk of rain: 40%.
Here's Damian Lewis singing the national anthem, accompanied by a saxophonist.
Well, it was different. I'll give him that. Well done for getting up there in front of the huge crowd, Damian.

Sam Ryder spoke to our pitlane reporter Rosanna Tennant, he said: "We are here chatting next to the Alfa Romeos, I'm trying to keep an eye out for the best moustache in motorsport, see where Valtteri is, but it's a lovely day, very good.
"It's the same as when I was a young kid watching it like cheering on Damon Hill and this sport, especially here it's such a special circuit and it's beloved and the fans every year it just gets bigger and bigger every year."
Who had British actor Damian Lewis performing the national anthem on their Silverstone bingo card?
The star of Homeland and Band of Brothers was entertaining the crowds in the paddock on Saturday and will be stepping up to the microphone to serenade the drivers shortly.
Martin Brundle has just been pied by model Cara Delevingne during his Sky Sports grid walk. "Oh well, I'm sure it would've been an interesting chat," quips Brundle.
Treble-winning Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is happy to chat, as is singer Sam Ryder, who is beaming to be at the British Grand Prix once again.
That's more like it.

Strategy-wise, this is expected to veer towards a one-stop race, likely on the medium and hard tyre as the favoured compounds, the teams believe, in contrast to Pirelli’s prediction that a two-stop is more likely. In fact, Pirelli’s suggestion that the quickest strategy was a soft-medium-soft raised eyebrows among the teams.
Pit stop loss is 21 seconds and an especially short nine seconds under a safety car because of the way the pit lane cuts out the last corner. The hard tyre was particularly strong on the race runs on Friday afternoon, to the extent that some may well be tempted to use it for the start.
